I am friends with one of my exes, we were friends first and it ended mutually. Not friends with the ones that cheated on me or were just huge asses.

Everytime I do I start liking them again... and visa versa then everything seems great then soon after I start to see the things I didn't like about them.
I will admit it is hard at times not to stay in touch

Cliff from my High School Reunion last night:
-about 3 months ago I de-friended my ex girlfriend for high school. She was also crazy. Her relationship status changed from married to its complicated (3rd husband). I wrote something like what happened...She wrote back pretty much saying I still wanted her so I de-friended her.
-She was at the reunion last night. She was drinking early and got drunk fast.
-Whole night she was calling me a dick, saying she was better then my wife, saying she wants to have sex with me (and at some point, saying she wanted to have sex with my wife as well).
-Friends took her up to the room
-I had a great time.

Great. Now he's loose.
lol I know you're new here, but Whiskers is definitly happily married. I don't think he was considering diving into any drama. Pretty sure he was laughing "at", not "with".
Whiskey, I'm glad you held it together without egging on any extra flair. I hope you're wife didn't have to endure any of that.
If I were your funny honey and heard that shit, I'd have a hard time not bitch-slapping her.

You're fiance may be cool with it now but after 2 or 3 years of marriage when the newness wears off and you're still all buddy buddy with the ex it's gonna cause troubles. I used to be kind of playa back in the day so my wifey says NO to all exs & sometimes gives them the dirty look when she sees them (even tho she's hotter & better) but then again it all depends on the situation, how good a friends you really were and how long before your fiance this all happened.

We should rename the topic to: Would you still bone your ex(s)?
The real question is more about relationship & personal maturity than anything. ie. is it possible for attractive peer men & women to really be platonic friends? I think for the majority of people the answer is There'll always be a sexual draw or misunderstanding between current partners. I leave the past in the past and move forward for my own mental health.
