kinda true... but in my opinion, "quiet" and "shy" mean two different things. if i think a guy is shy, it's cuz he seems overly insecure/socially inept/intimidated by people/etc... not especially good qualities to have a guy who seems shy isn't gonna keep a girl's attention for very long because of those things. just from my experiences, i'd say it's kinda hard to have a meaningful conversation with a guy who is excessively "shy".

on the other hand, guys who are just "quiet" (but still obviously capable of being sociable) can do very well with girls cuz it makes them a lil more interesting... you feel like there's more there than meets the eye, and that can be a very attractive quality in some people.
