It's not that, it just so incredibly disrespectful. Most girls don't like to get their period, we feel like crap all the time, it makes us fatter for the week, and the hormones make us get mad all the time; it's not a fun thing, and then you think it's okay to get mad that we won't do you a "favor"? I guess I'm just an old married guy now. Because I kinda agree with what she said. Anything that I don't want to do and end up doing it is either an obligation or a favor.

Go to the store when I want to just sit on my ass, is an obligation or a favor. Work on someone's project at work when I don't want to is a favor, or obligation.

However, I'm still a guy, so I don't see sex as a favor, definitely not an obligation. But most guys will feel that way seeing as how we stop thinking about sex about 5 minutes after death.

Sure. It doesn't make you a bad person to do things out of obligations. You're not supposed to enjoy everything you do. I do a lot of favors for family and friends out of obligations. I just don't really ever think about it. I don't think there is a single person that can say that they do not feel obligated to do favors.

To all who are reading this for the first time...

My post was a question. I never said my opinion was right or wrong. I made the thread to get opinions, not state something one way or another.

If you opine that I am selfish, that is fine with me, but bare in mind that I accept that and have used said opinions to reconsidered my views. There is no need to get harsh, angry or upset.

 

I hate giving bj's, so that's a huge favor for my bf. He knows I hate it, so I don't do it often, and that's fine with him. Guys have figured out that if it's your birthday, you're pretty much going to get a bj, that's just how it is - you're welcome. I don't feel obligated to have sex when I have my period because I think that's flat out disgusting haha. I probably have given him a bj or hj when I had it just because I felt bad that I wouldn't actually have sex with him, but neither of those do I particularly love.

Personally, I just never really expected it. I feel if I get some relief while my partner was on her period, then great. If not, then so be it. Either way it's not the end of the world. And for me, I would rather not have any than feel like it's out of obligation. But that's just me I guess.

 

All the jokes aside, I think there are some valid points in here. I would still say some of it is somewhat selfish, but we are all entitled to be a bit selfish. I can't fault you for it.

I can barely stop laughing long enough to type. Being an old guy, this one caught my eye.

I think it's because older guys have figured out that the dream we all had at 20 of being pleasured on-demand for the rest of our days was quite possibly the stupidest thought we've ever had and will be crushed about 1 year into being married, or when your first child arrives.

Also, we've figured out that women don't appreciate being treated like an on-demand sperm bank just because we get aroused.

So if you'll pardon my little rant, there's a real reply for the OP in here.

Everyone is different, everyone has a different drive and I'm not here to generalize about every couple's sexual relationship. But what I really think you should consider is your attitude towards her on this issue. If you equate a woman pleasuring you with her showing she cares for you, I hate to tell you that you're going to be very let down. That's just not the way a long-term relationship works, and it's certainly not what you want to build one on.

But look, I suspect that a lot of guys, of not most, felt like this at some point. Happens when hormones interfere with clear thinking. But before you do or say something hurtful, give this some thought, and decide if it's really that big a deal. Maybe re-evaluate what it means for her to show she cares for you.

 

Personally I think the OP is selfish because he wont sassify the demands of his girl just because Aunt Flow is in town.

That's the point most people in this thread are either forgetting or ignoring. Problem is, women can go without 'it' for a week and not bat an eye. So they really can't relate to us not being able to last a week.
