I am sorry to hear that you are traveling down a similar path. Being pregnant is hard enough, but to begin a new life on such a sad note is heartbreaking.
I have come to learn that the best thing for your child to see is a smile on your face, because no matter what, they will always remember this. Children reflect the expressions they see on their parents' faces, and it is the best feeling when you wake up and see your baby smiling at you.
I am glad that my words have encouraged you, and please know that you are never alone. The steps you are taking to ensure that your child has a happy upbringing are the right ones. These days too many people put themselves first, and not the well being of their children. Thank you for trying to be a good mother.

polite, eloquent, concise...i flew through most of this thread as it lacked the venom, pointlessness, or antagonism that a lot of the stuff i read tends to feature (found out about this on deadspin).
