Help deciding on ring! Secrets safe with you!

I figured I would get a broad general opinion from you guys since most of you besides a few don't really know me in person haha! Please give me some feedback I'm stuck between these two rings, totally different styles I want some feedback! I love this first one here it's the one I'm leaning towards but it's very pricey!

I'm not going to reveal the price at this time!

The other ring!

It's actually much more simple than the bottom one, the bottom one looks very flashy in person the top one is more "elegant" and simple looking, the pictures are focused in it takes a different look at em. Thanks for the opinion though buddy.

If anyone needs killer deals on jewelry let me know my best friend is the manager of a private owned shop not a commercial place like "jareds" haha, FCK Jared!

The bottom has the diamonds in channel so it won't scratch her fingers. I bought my wife a similar ring to the top one before and she made it me take it back. I was pissed at first but got a cheaper one she likes more so win win I guess.

You have a 50/50 chance to fuck this up no matter what you do or we say. I spent months looking at round cut diamonds trying to decide how to go about buying/setting/etc. Turns out my wife loves princess cuts and would have killed me if I spent what I was thinking. It wasn't like the movies (life rarely is). We went together to get an idea of what she likes and I couldn't have been more wrong.

My vote: #2.
My advice: Don't fuck this up.

i think you should get your headlights and taillights modified instead, but...since you seem to be serious about this whole marriage thing, it's gonna be a toss up. if your fiance is anything like mine, she might want to have a say in what shes wearing on her finger for the rest of her life.

Haha....We will get there my friend. I think she likes the top one more that is why I'm leaning towards it.

Its a tough decision I've been debating for months and months.

Yeah, I was thinking the first one looked a little old-fashioned.

A quarter view of the rings might better show us how the rings would look.

Your SO didn't give you any hints?

I can't choose based on looks. What's the carat? cut? clarity? color? Talk to us. And we'll know which is a better deal. You don't want to go broke by buying crap.

First one will make her look like a princess. 2nd will make her look like everyone else. Talk to her family? Siblings? Someone who knows her taste...which ironically should really be you! lol

PS Oval/round and princess cut are two totally different beasts.

OK I see now, I originally thought that the stones on the outside rim were diamonds, not colored gems, I see what you were saying now. I still would get her the one she likes better

OP - speaking as someone that has almost used it....make sure you insure that ring.

My wife lost her diamond at work. She works for a daycare center. 2 months later a 4 year old girl found it in the play ground mulch. True F-ING story.

Insurance would have covered the entire thing and had it not been for me being a big procrastinator we would have had to have an uncomfortable conversation with State Farm.

I vote for #2 as well. The first one doesn't seem to showcase the diamond very well.

My good friend is a manager of a private jewelry store. I'm not getting ripped. I can assure you they both look way better in person, they are great quality and the jewler insures them. Best place around.

That is the specs of he second ring

She doesn't know first of all, secondly, I believe she would like the 1st one as friends have had ones similar to this and she really liked them.

And trust me they look much better in person!

She is 80 years old what of it!? I was going to put some good pictures up but photobucket isn't working right now, as much funny shit as I see now I can't wait to post them.....

^dude.
not being funny at all, but you need to include your wife on this.
SHE IS THE ONE THATS GOING TO BE WEARING IT, not you.

this advice has been posted like 3 or 4 times by more experienced guys.
if OP buys first one,

and then you give us a pic of her napping...umm wtf?
if I were trying to sell acurazine on the first ring, I'd show her dressed to the 9's.

LOL like I said photobucket wouldn't cooperate this morning, this picture is super old and was on my account.

Trust me I know my woman better than anyone. I know what I'm doing.

I asked a simple question of everyones preference. I'm not sweating or worried about anything. We have an amazing relationship and just bought a house. She's very old fashioned and I'm proud to say that, its hard to find a down to earth real woman now a days. Anyways....thanks for the

I will probably take her out and stumble into a store and have her try some on....she will probably get the hint but i want it to be a total surprise, I'm still going to wait atleast 6 months we are in the process of closing on our home.

So many people on this site are so , I appreciate your compassion for me. I'm not even set on those two rings they are just two totally different ones I'm trying to get a broad idea of peoples opinions. So thank you for your input.
