Being in the doghouse

Just venting my own frustrations....

So the other night i was slightly belligerant towards my female interest and we had one of those stupid drunken arguments and i ended up leaving. But i came back with improved behavior and she noticed it and the night ended well. (Not great, just calm and cool). So i figured it was ok.

But yesterday i talked to her and she wasn't very responsive so i asked if i was in the doghouse, and she's like "ya, pretty much." (I guess i deserve it).

So i tell her thats not me, i know its been happening for a week or so but it won't anymore, etc. She says "it's over, don't worry about it, i dont care, but then goes on to say im not telling you what to do but i don't like being around it, it's annoying, etc."

I know i need to chill out with the drinking for a bit i guess so i dont need advice about that, but what should i do with her? I was foolish enough to ask when can i come out of the doghouse lol, and she says "i dunno, we'll see. i dont care (yet again) but you act like a 2 yr old sometimes." Should I just wait for her to cool off and initiate converstion with me all together, or would it be ok to wait a few days then give her a call? I do know i shouldn't bring the situation up at all, period.

I guess Im mostly afraid that she's not gonna give me a another chance to prove that i can act normal, i.e. i dont want her to think twice when deciding if she wants to see me on a particular night....i know actions speak louder than words and all, so I'm guessing there's nothing more i can say, and i just have to let time run its course and wait for her to come around, right??

I guess overall its not a big deal, and will blow over soon enough....but i just hate myself sometimes for fukin things up (even if its just temporary) like this. I'm sure a number of you have been in the doghouse for whatever reason, what have you all done to fix it?

/venting

My advice would be to chug a 1/2 bottle of tequila and while she is sleeping puke on her...it will definately make her forget about the other night

Sounds like the first 2 years of my relationship.

Make her dinner/take her out to a nice resturant, clean the kitchen & bedroom, give her a massage. Stuff like that should make it better.

Well normally I would do stuff like that, but she doesn't want any of that emotional "relationship" type stuff (which is why we split up before and ended up not talking for 3 weeks). I managed to change my game up and showed i wasn't gonna be the lovey-dovey type and she came back...she just wants to hang out and have fun, without gettin caught up in emotional stuff (and frankly i share her viewpoint) i.e. i dont want to scare her off like i did before with that kind of stuff.

But yes, if she was my "girlfriend" I would do stuff like that in a second. I guess it's different b/c she's just a "friend" that i happen to talk to a lot (usually) and hook up with.

Sounds to me like you two need to make your relationship an official "friends with benefits" situation.
