Heading south bound on University here in South Florida, a white TSX cuts in front of me (no signal) and then starts changing lanes as he navigates through traffic. I take the far left lane and he cuts through a ton of traffic to climb on my butt so close that I can count the pimples on his and his passengers forehead. He then zooms through traffic into the right turn only lane and cuts people off so that he is flanking me at the red light. My wife exclaimed what a couple of jerks they were but their real intentions were obvious.

I never have raced another car with my wife in it but I thought it would be fun to teach these guys a lesson.

Light turns green and they are out of the hole in a flash and had me by a car and a half as I walked it from a standstill. I put the pedal down and for a moment it was a standstill until I started gaining. Don't know what was louder, the sound of my intake at full throttle or the scolding I was getting from my wife for engaging these kids. Chirping into second (auto) I pulled very hard and passed them with ease and would have enjoyed watching them shrink in my rear view mirror but the screaming from my wife to stop was more than enough motivation to shut down which I did. The pansies in the TSX then shot by and the recriminations and hypotheticals from my passenger came fast & furious.

There was no one in front or around us and that particular stretch on University was perfect for a quick and fun run. Even if it was a lowly TSX and I am in the doghouse it was worth it.........

 

Nice kill. 1st gen TSX I'm guessing? could u tell whether it was auto or stick?
