I am running it at 1280 x 1024 and the action bogs my system down when it gets super crazy

I played the Demo the other day.. Seems like a really good game. Ill probably be picking it up soon.. I noticed that since my video card is crap (9600 pro) , the graphics look no better than Generals....

The game plays like Generals, but feels like Red Alert 2. This is due to the FMV screens, which finally get you into the story more and engrosses you. The graphics are excellent, even on my Radeon 9800 Pro.
For those on the fence, go out and buy it. As I said before, it's 39.99 at Circuit City for the non-Kane edition.

I agree, I played this about 4 hours yesterday. I'm at the second Egypt mission. I'm pumping the hell out of the graphics. 1680x1050 with all graphics selections topped out. CC for $39.99
The Commando is awesome!!!
I've checked their FAQ and min sys specs and nothing:

Speaking of graphics cards and this game, I just found this card:

$939! and it's water cooled.

my best friend didn't know that C&C Generals supported really high resolutions until I told him it did after I played it on my 30" LCD.
Guess I'll just have to play it to find out.

Geebus, I ran into some significant slow down on the Alexandria level. I had 10 mammoth tanks, 8 APCs, and numerous ground troops. When I engaged NOD, that's when my system would grind down.
Still, excellent fun

I was gonna download the demo to find out if my laptop could handle it... right.
I was asking around if my Intel GMA 950 would be able to handle C&C 3.
My question has been answered in this thread.
I really need to upgrade my old system. I'm not too sure to be honest. Anyone know if I can put a quad core in my ~3 year old desktop?

Got the game yesterday from my friend as a bday gift.
Installed it but haven't had a chance to really play it. Can't wait for the chance to really try it.
Oh, and it DOES support 2560 x 1600. Just need to fine tune the video settings so it doesn't slow down during game play.

Ok I reinstalled the demo and it works. The game is a lot of fun. Its much better than generals and feels just like red alert 2 which rocked. Ill probably pick up this game on Wednesday.
I just finished the GDI mission. If you haven't played it don't read the following...
I finished the mission using the Liquid Tiberium Bomb. I saved right before I used it, so I'm going to go back and play without using it.
Has anybody else finished the GDI w/o using the Liquid Tiberium Bomb?

Demo doesn't work for me, damn. I downloaded it with "run" instead of "save" and it won't let me play the skirmish without crashing within 30 seconds.
Plus there's this annoying ass buzzing sound that won't go away when the game loads and goes away only when I exit the demo. Won't go away if I put it on mute, but it transfers over when I plug in some headphones.
I really need a gaming laptop....
