Yeah you can. I just downloaded an episode of heroes and it played fine.
What you do is go into videos and then press change source (x button) then you can choose your share files. I set a couple folders to be shared by adding them to my windows media plaeyer. I dunno about macs though.

They said that files converted with older divx codecs might not work though. I have run into that though.

I use Connect360 to share media from my Mac with my Xbox. Connect360 doesn't yet support DivX but I'm sure they'll have an update by the weekend.

I had just read something about DivX not working with Media Center Extender or something. I dunno.

Anyway, that's awesome. Time to hook my Xbox back up.

^^Hmmm maybe that was pre update or they haven't gotten around to changing it on PC's. I never used my media extender. I dont remember exactly what I did (I thought I set it to share on windows media player but just checked and that wasnt it) but the xbox picks up my windows xp pro machine but only 3 of the folders which are labeled music and tvshows but not the others. Hmmm I dunno.

But microsoft makes you download some gay zune player if you want to set your media library to share with xbox 360. I am sure there are alternatives its just like you I just brushed the dust off of my xbox 360 so i havent bothered to check.

Haven't been able to get into and CoD games. Weird.... it takes at least a minute to get into a game, then there are only me and maybe 3 other people. A little while after that the stupid pop-up message "Game lobby closed" shows up. Happened about 4 games in a row already, still trying.
