well glad to know its pretty easy to access the M.2 slot and its PCIe Gen 4.

Interesting how they're using liquid metal for the thermal compound.

Also kind of neat how they designed the stand.

And i'm glad they made it easy to remove any dust build up.

 

They did it for the PS4.

Microsoft did it, but they let some youtubers do it.

I'm surprised Sony is being so transparent about BC. The PS4 market will be filled with used items. I'm sure they can still make money off of PS4s for those not ready to upgrade. I believe that's been the historical pattern with prior models.

 

I kind of wish fat boi 60GB PS3 worked so I could play some PS2 games.

then again I probably won’t play them. Hell I haven’t even gotten to FF7 remake

although it would be cheaper to wrap it....Dbrand has built up their name as the defacto wrap company for any device

 

Looks like renders to me, I'd be surprised if the final product was that seamless.

The benefit to that over the dbrand is that the plates should be easily swappable

 

i'm suspecting that company would need the ps5 in order to get the plastic pins just right.

Are you guys going to have yours standing erect? In my setup I have two towers and my TV sits on top of a middle piece. The tower shelves aren't tall enough to accommodate it standing and the TV is as wide as the middle piece so the PS5 would block the view.

 

If I decide to keep mine, It's going to have to be boner style.
I don't think I have the desk space to put it flat.

 

It’s going to look funny pointing at midnight on the entertainment center, so gonna leave it limp in one of the cubbies instead.

 

I read it on the official blog but can't link it at work. Looks like PS Collection is free and in November getting the first PS5 game. Hollow Knight is a legit game too. I didn't like the first Mordor game though.

With every game I play now being cross platform, Im at such a disadvantage being on console AND using a TV. I know it will never be as good as PC but it cant be any worse than what Im currently doing

I am ordering the LG CX55 OLED TV...need new tube anyways.

 

I don't game on the TV anymore. I'll probably pick up a new high refresh rate monitor.

Regardless if I keep the PS5, I'm still going to get one.

Need to replace my old Dell U2410 monitor. It an older CCFL LCD monitor, and it takes some time to warm up. Also it runs hot and uses more power compared the BenQ SW240 LED LCD monitor.

 

I play Rock Bank still on PS4 and with my OLED it obviously looks great, but the lag isn't bad either.
