Lol did you watch after the price announced... the part about trust of the consumers.... uh yeah that's a lot of hogwash in there
BUT I am happy Sony has finally started to MAKE CONSUMERS HAPPY.

Who won the last E3 when they launched ps3 and 360? Didn't ps3 win because of BD support and changeable hard drives? But 360 evolved into a better overall experience throughout the 7 years. Could happen again.
No, their platforms are designed to last 10 years but it doesn't mean new hardware will come out before that. Look at the ps1 and 2, they were around for a long time even when the next gen was already out.
For everyone it may vary and these are problems I've personally had and read for others. PSN hack fiasco, YLOD with no extended warranty (360 and RROD gave a long warranty), more reliable network via 360 for online gaming (you pay for what you get) as I can't play Rock Band Blitz half the time as it's online only, DS3 batteries dying and no warranty, 360 has more TV options like ESPN, Xfinity On Demand, etc, 360 XNA support which was HUGE for Rock Band players, PSN only updates Tuesdays while Live was literally live on soms releases, 360 controller better for shooters, glitches on games on ps3 instead of 360 like Rocksmith and Skyrim, integration with your PC, cross-game chat, PS3 firmware installs, long ass install for each of your 500 pieces of DLC after you get a new PS3, a 3rd party repair shop had to fix the YLOD since Sony's own method might last between a day and a year but only gave 90 day warranty while the repair shop warranties it for a year, Kinect over Eye Toy, no disc install to the HDD. Domestically speaking 360 outsold PS3 so more 360 friends. The 360 started off slow with no HDMI, no wireless, small HDD, and RROD. Over the years they fixed all that but Sony seemed complacement.
I love my PS3 but if I didn't have so much invested into it with games and DLC I'd have probably gone 360 the 2nd time around.

1. Centered around gaming
2. More power
3. Better used games policy

. It had been three years; I don't expect that to be covered. I even got trade credit at GS for the old one (guess that's where they get some of their used PS's
). From a gaming standpoint, there isn't a single XBox exclusive I care about (I love most of PS's), and I greatly prefer the PS controller (hate FPS).
Doom, well said. I also love the layout, mostly because the analog sticks. I hate them being close together on the PS and the fact that actual triggers are non-existent.
