god damn it!!! why you gotta be so yellow??? It's very expensive to mod and I have to wait awhile...at least tell me is it worth modding now and forgetting about leveling up anything else?

 

The wood sword can wait...it's something you mod once you have $$$ and have everything else you need to buy/mod taken care of. But...then again, you can only mod so much per store before you have to go to the next stage's store to see if the old dude will do anything for it.

 

is that how it works? I was wondering why some statues will not let me level up weapons even though I have more than enough...also where do you think is the best place to gain yellow orbs? I need more! Seems like almost everytime I go to a shop, i end up spending most of it on elixirs... btw, what is that in your av? Is that the castrol supra?

Anyhoo...there are lots of places where enemies respawn. That's one way to gain a bunch of $$$$--just keep cycling through those areas.

Also, to help gain your $$$ quicker, make sure you try to get a hang of timing out your ultimate techniques (those charged attacks). The more you can chain off, the more the orbs are worth...a great place to spam this is in the crypt stage against the respawning zombies. Just make sure you take care of the ones with the bows first so that you don't get shot from afar while charging.

...ummm...almost? It was my fault though. I wa doing it flawlessly until about halfway thru its health, then I got impatient and started flinging that windmill shuriken over and over again and i got caught in the air a few times throwing it... why is it the easy bosses that are whuppin me now?

 

What weapon are you armed with when you fight the worm...? Both the Lunar or Dragon Sword work pretty good in this situation.

You need to master the fight because later on in the stage, you hafta deal with TWO worms.

 

i was armed with the flails because everythign else seemed to slow to hit the damn worm...aww man...two worms is not gonna be fun....and there are supposed to be 9 scarabs in this stage too???

 

Hrm...well...I think you should have about 36 scarabs in total found by the time you're done this stage...? Something like that.

Yes, there is. There is quite a bit of backtracking allowed in the game--so to speak. I think the military station can be accessed via the main gates back in the city which you can still get back to from the sewers.

The only place where you may be SOL is the collapsed crypt...

 

I think I may be good then...I guess I really don't NEED a plasma sword huh? ... But I did get a braclet of celerity and it seems to do jackshit...

 

If you want to beat the worm, look up something like "600 hit combo ninja gaiden" on youtube. There's a real cheap easy way to kill the worm with the flails.

 

WTF??? get the hell outta here...youtube here I come!!!! The flails seem to be my saving grace...anyone else? when in doubt it used to be the dragon sword, but now I find myself alway going to the flails...

 

Well, the scarabs are just an indication of how -worthy you are. More so for bragging rights.

But, his gifts do help IMO...

 

bragging rights...lol...only bragging right I am worried about this game is when I finish it on normal...lol...MUST....FIND.....SCARABS....I need some of that stuff...too bad the wooden sword isn't as easy to level up...I'm at level 3 and it takes 10k to upgrade to 4...looks like more time leveling...

 

Well, to be honest, most of the scarabs are easy to find...this game isn't that hard exploring-wise. Heck, I don't really remember my first go-round much and have found most things (I think) so far...

 

hmmm...i'm gonna spend some tmie going back to find what i can and try to beat that worm...lol...i may see you on MSN messenger in a few hours...lol..

New annoyance of the day with this game: the sentry copters that shoot missles at you while you're in the water.

Doesn't help that you're busy trying to avoid the giant fish monsters.

 

those combos are insane!!! i tried last night but failed miserably...and I beat the one worm but...now I'm whupped by two... I'm not a fan of the sentry copters that shoot the blue sweeping lasers at you...but they are ok with arrows or shuriken if no other baddies are attacking you...

 

Yeah...too bad arrows and shurikens don't work while you're swimming, huh...?

 

well yea, guess not...get the blowgun yet? And did you ever level up dabilahro? I never seem to use it for anything...so I feel like I'd be wasting essence to do so...is it worthwhile or does it come in handy at all?

 

Yup...the spear gun is now in my possession...

But, I'm going back to the save of the start of the stage again. I ate up 1 too many potions getting shot to near-death by those stupid sentries while swimming. I'll take them out first by running on water and then taking on the sharks.

 

The giant FF7-type sword...? I use it sometimes just to vary it up a bit. But, admittedly, it is not the weapon I'm good with. My weapons of choice still are and will be the Lunar and the Flails.

Speed always FTW.

 

yeah, speed is my choice too. the dabilahro is way too slow...I end up getting my ass kicked because I am trying to execute a damn combo...lol...the flails I was not so keen on until I saw that 999 combo shit!!! holy crap!!! Now I am puttin them to good use!

I ended up using too many elixirs too with the two worms (and even a talisman of rebirth..*sobsob*) so I have to start again too...

 

Still have 3 Talismens...

 

you haven't used ONE!?!?!? I would have 3 too if I didn't use the other two...never bought one...too expensive...although part of the prob was my wife would play it, use all my elixirs, and talismans, and devil elixirs, beat a boss, then save...

 

Nope. Still haven't used one. I won't lie about needing potions every so often when I'm knee-deep against enemies or taking on a tough boss (i.e. two worms, tanks)...

I think the hardest baddies I've had to put up with so far in order are: Dual electro-worms, tanks, Alma, and Murai.

 

electro worms and alma, yes, tanks, no...helicopter hell yes....do you fight murai a second time? I haven't gotten that far to find out...yuo fight him more than just @ the beginning? But yeah about potions...every so often...i've been getting mroe great ones since the little ones don't fill up as much anymore. i get like ten of them, but I have to use like 3 or 4 to get my health back CLOSE to full...sucks that 10 of small elixirs=1 mega elixir, and small ones fill you up more per dollar...or rather...per essence..

 

I beat the 2 worms!!! YAY!!!! Unfortunately I emptied my inventory of anything useful...I used my last talisman, 10 elixirs, 4 great elixirs, and a devil elixir...but I am outta there!!! Please don't tell me there's more worms...hopefully the next boss will at least be ONE enemy..

 

You used up ALL of that for the bugs...? Ow. Um...g'luck with onwards. But, you have a giant hallway full of Fiends (the ninja types) to take care of and then a boss fight with an ugly who's...pretty big. You can beat the boss without any health potions actually...but, you can also get your @$$ whupped big-time if you don't know how to approach him.

hahaha...any better hints than that??? lol...Seems like evrytime I get one of those talismans, I alway use it on the next boss...hopefully I at least found all 9 scarabs in this chapter...ong as hell!!! 5 bosses so far? 2 tanks, a helicopter, one worm, then 2 worms...

You should have 35 scarabs by the end of the sewer stage.

The boss...? Remember to beat his @$$...literally.
