The last Chapter DOES have a boss fight...but, part of the difficulty is surviving what the stage throws at you in the last chapter BEFORE the fight with the FINAL boss.

And yes, the skeletal form of the Emperor is his last form. So, now you know why I said to reserve at least 3 Talismans before you right him. Now, keep in mind that you should ALSO keep at least 1 or 2 for Chapter 19. Because, there will be no more shops and no way for you to backtrack after you have killed the Emperor...it is really the point-of-no-return for you in Chapter 19.

Also, another reminder that you should have potions available as well and enough for Chapter 19. So, don't just beat the Emperor on fumes and hope you'll fluke it out in the next Chapter...you'll want all the help you can get so that you don't have to redo the Emperor-fight in Chapter 18 and surviving the lovely stage of Chapter 19 before the FINAL boss.

Well, climbing down the tower really isn't that big of a chore. It's pretty easy and you can much make it back to the Tairon shop with no issues...and as I've said, spamming Ninpo to take care of the ghost fish is a good way of making it down and back up safely and easily because there is always a fish or two that'll yield a red orb as a result of its death...

And when you head back up, spamming Ninpo is no issue anyhow because the Team Ninja logo will replenish everything...not that Ninpo would really help you in any of the boss fights going forward. But still...if it makes you feel better...

 

yes team ninja makes a ninja feel GOOOOOOD.....lol...i've been using fire wheels lately for the fish...made a HUGE diff!!! and you're right, you do get a loto f red orbs for every huge group of them...i kept dying atthe same spot going back down the stairs due to fish....they help keeps me monies stocked up too...lol...i lika da money...

 

Yeah, the Firewheel is usefull against the fish.

I also don't mind spamming the lightning.

 

i haven't used the ice or lightning more than once...and up until the fish, same with the fire wheels...lol...but man...i was up for awhile trying to get through the damn last chapter...i feel...emasculated...

 

Well, there is not much I can say here to help you. Keep trying and don't give up!

 

yeah at this point it's all my slow ass. jumping is ok, it's the view that kills me...some of the camera views I cannot find any place to jump to...

 

Keep your thumb ready for the right analog...always adjust so that the view is behind you.

 

maybe thats what's killin me...i've been using r1 to center the cam everytime i jump, that's prolly f'in up my view...

 

OMG...WTF is up with mission mode??? I'm only on the third set and I'm gettnig raped...wow..I thought Alma was hard...although the hardest ones so far seem to be the ones where it's just a bunch of henchmen level ninjas and demons, and they just keep coming wave after wave....it's easier to beat the bosses b/c you only need to kill the one, but fighting wave after wave of impending doom...whoa...flying swallow seems to be the only thing keeping my ass alive...

 

No tips for you here. Just all the skills you have accumulated from completing the game.

lol...thanx...you too...now the wife and I are doing hard mode....and hard mode is a walk in the freakin park compared to mission mode...

 

This game is harder than the Xbox version. Holy cow. I beat the Xbox with some stops here and there (Alma the hardest) but this game is tough. I don't recall picking a level of difficulty. I installed it and started a new game. Does this default to super freaking hard mode?

 

Don't think so...? You may just be a bit rusty.


However, that being said, this game is not for the noobish. What a gem of a game. Now, if only Team Ninja would release Part 2 for the PS3...!!!!!

 

Well I am advancing as I'm at the part in Act 6 where you fight the 3 monsters after the gauntlet of spider ninjas and biker soldiers. It's just that I'm resorting to a lot of Flying Swallow and I don't get to use the charge attacks. In the Xbox, I have plenty of time to charge it. The enemies are so ruthless that the second I release L1 to block, they swing and I can't get the move off. Also if you block for a second too long, they grab you and stab you in the neck.

 

^ Yeah, the AI seems to have been tweaked in Sigma...I did find the Rachel stages to be tough.

 

I picked this up the other day too and found it to be more difficult than I remember...

 

Nice twist adding Gamov as a boss. Fucker was tough he's so slippery. I hope I didn't waste too many items fighting him. But you know, I like the power of the hammer. A white guard with a jumping power strike is dead in one shot. Plus she has a very quick jab and even catches spider ninjas off guard. The tits are a bonus.

Nope...but, I've been following the game since they announced it for the 360 and I just hope now that Team Ninja can get their heads outta their @$$es and release this for the PS3...
