Because according to what I've been hearing, they fixed it so that you can't just delete the save, that it's now tied to the PSN account. And that you can't do the multiple gifts in one day anymore.
I've also heard the only way to keep doing it is to make a new account after you've traded and to try trading the tickets instead of the cars.
But personally, I don't know to be honest. The trading system went down for a while, so cars were getting lost in cyber space, and when it came back up, people said certain things were fixed. It's all a big cluster fuck right now.

Hmm dunno whenever I got a flashing red thing. I just slow down till it goes away. Maybe you really wrecked your car? If that happens just exit the race and re enter.

I think..you can join a friend who's in a public lounge the same way you join a private one. Because I joined a friend and random people were joining too.
