Welcome to my world. My copy is still in its Amazon box right next to my PS3 gathering dust. I don't think I'll have time to play it until the Christmas break.

apparently caterham japan decided to run their car along "route 246". For added authenticity it looks like they did it at gt5 AI opponent speed.

So I finally got my race car. I beat Like the Wind with a tuned veyron for the daytona road course race, and the mazda furai for the indy race. I got the Minolta Toyota 88cv car and MAN this thing is fast. It was super hard to keep controlled with the racing hard tires that it came with, so I had to put soft tires on.

Should we make a seperate thread for Photo Mode pics or just put them all in here?
I like Photo Mode almost as much as I like racing

I was trying to get a car quick enough for the historic race car, er, races. Here I used the 512BB in the Ferrari race and won, and I used a slightly tuned NSX Zero (tires and transmission) to win two of the MR races against Zondas and Ferraris (they're too much for Sarthe, however), so I was feeling pretty good about doing well with far less powerful cars, until that series. Everything I had that fit was getting walloped by the AI.
So, I bought the '69 Camaro. Didn't come close. Saw I could race modify it. There were signs of hope, but it wasn't enough. So I figured I'd throw on a bunch of mods, especially since the game doesn't autosave after tuning mods. I added everything, which is the first time I've been more than minimalist in mods. Well, I got the Looney Tune trophy, so it autosaved. So I still didn't come close to winning, I dropped from 1.6 million to around 980K total (race conversion alone was 215K) and I have to figure out how to fix the severe understeer it developed. Ah well, it's the only really expensive mistake I've made so far in the game.
---
In other general stuff, I do like that FF cars are given much better treatment than in the constant controller-shuddering previous games.
I also tried B-Spec. I did the Clubman Cup and think I'm just going to skip that part of the game, as well as the endurance races.
And I had to turn down the menu music, as I found looking through the available dealer cars while listening to Kenny G-ish style pop fusion was aggravating.
Tried the online for the first time last night. Free roam was great around the Nurburgring at night, but I had the NSX Zero and everyone else had race cars and Lamborghinis. Then the race started, and I was put at the front of the grid. I even tried to get over, but in short, I don't think I should complain about the AI any more.

As for the music, I did see an option to play your own music.
Plus there are tons more that aren't selected. It's why you listen to the same like 3 songs over and over and over.

maybe increase the gamma in setting?

The Nurburgring is really dark at night. I did ok on it, probably because I went through all the AMG challenges and have done a few practice runs on it.
I'll have to look into the music (de)selection.
Edit - I'm kind of disappointed I read about the birthday car. It would have been a pretty cool surprise if I'd played the game on my birthday.

When you share, from what I've seen and my friend.... All it does is put it in your online profile. It's kinda like a showroom. They can view it and the specs. But nothing else. When it's shared you cannot use that car.

I don't think so because the other tracks look fine - if anything, you remember my rant about the sky in High Speed ring looking overexposed.. maybe I need to check the contrast or picture or something...
