dirt and snow sucks. just doesn't feel right. was much better in the older GT's (and even that wasn't all that).

I have a feeling I won't be doing that race. I tried it briefly, thinking it would be cool, boy was I wrong. And it looks totally f'ed up too - the AI looks like a synchronized driving exercise, at the hands of robots. Well I guess that is technically what it is..

Its not that bad, you just have to brake late for each corner and pass the other vans there, and draft on the straights

Which is why you ignore the racing line. They to their synchronized stuff dead on the line the entire track, and you just pass them on the inside and outside. I wish I had played some more over the weekend but it feels like God punched me in the throat.

well I definitely don't pay any attention to the racing line, I'm just annoyed to see those vans driving so robotically.

They split up a bit by the second lap. Wait till you do the last top gear challenge, the robotic nature ends up being kinda funny and will help you. You'll see.

oh forgot to mention, I played this at my friend's last night, 65" 3D TV with G27 wheel and Playseat. First race I tried was the LP560 @ Laguna. At really loud volume on Definitive Tech speakers w/ surround-sound. My god its an experience. the 3D effect is NICE. I really felt immersed in the game. And also the sounds of the cars in that class sound AMAZING at loud volume. By contrast the cars such as M3 and IS-F and that class sound pretty horrible. It's clear they put a lot more effort / R&D into the really premium cars.
also my friend showed me the SSR track thats like long enough (2 ways - it resembles a long slightly curving straight, on the map) - long enough to race 0-200 or so. we did some roll on races, 50-150 in IS-F vs M3 or R8 etc. It was pretty fun. Its basically like street-racing, except a bit safer.

NOTICE: FOR EVERYONE ASKING HOW TO EARN ~100Kcr IN 4 MINUTES
In the fifth category, it's the american racing subcategory. You have to be lvl 23 to race it. The first race is 5 laps around indy with ~48 seconds a lap. You get 98K for winning and just under a square of xp.
Tip: switch to controller and use automatic trans for minimal effort lol.
I grinded my way to level 24 with that technique.
Btw, I got golds in the second amg challenge category and the 24hr nur. setup doesn't even change with time it's just gp and nordshleife connected. boo.
Also, if you want to grind to lvl 23, buy a german touring car and do the 1-lap nordshleife in the touring car subcategory plus you'll gain massive skills at ring driving (which is how I managed gold on amg challenge 2)

If I were to save up that many credits, how would I be able to knowingly spend it all on one car? And it's not just one car that is this expensive...many cars are 10,000,000+
There are so many cars I want to own, but it sounds like I'd need to play 24 hours/day for 6 months to be able to own half of them.

This is from GT4 experience...
Drifting with the wheel is all about settings. You have to find the right tune for the car, driving aid settings annnd steering wheel settings. You can't really use the hand brake. So you'll have to experiment with every corner.
Here's an old video I posted. It was when I was an okaaaay drifter. That track wasn't that great for drifting anyway. I got better on another track. Never recorded it. Might have a replay saved. One day....
This video is nothing special. So watch if you want to see what techniques I used or whatever.

so I actually did the bus race at Top Gear and finished 3rd on my first try. not too bad at all. but I learned the track with the Elise test first, no way I was gonna learn it in the bus. I could probably get 1st if I tried a few more times but right now I don't feel like it.
