Alright guys, I finally took the leap of faith and got a Playstation 3! I really got the system for the Blu-Ray player, but the added game console is a nice bonus. I was hoping to get some suggestion on some “must have” games for the PS3? I have heard rave review for Resistance: fall of men, Motorstorm, and NCAA football/Madden 2008? Any of you guys played these or have any suggestion? Gonna pick up a game this weekend!

 

Rainbow Six-Vegas was awesome! (and still is, I play Live on it just about everyday)

 

btw, I meant to say... Rainbow Six-Vegas was good ON the 360

Thanks for the input guys! It’s a tossup between Resistance or Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I want to get a game that will showcase what the PS3 and my Samsung 1080p LCD can really do. I watched apocalypto last night on Blu-ray, and WOW it’s just amazing! I just wanted to get the same viewing pleasure when I get a game too! Are either of these game 1080HD quality?

UPDATE: I got Resistance as my first PS3 game. That graphic is great! However, since i am so use to playing games on my PC (keyboard/mouse) i am having a horried time getting use to this type of controller (my dumbass just found out that the controler is wireless too! duhh). I can't aim worth a shit,even if my life depended on it.

I know this is the games section, but you guys should go buy 300 in Blu-Ray!!! The picture and sounds are just amazing! I haven't seen tones of movies on blu-ray, but this movie takes the cake!

I hated FPS's as well, but didn't put resistance down for months. I still think Motorstorm is the best PS3 game out (and i've been playing NG for the last week).


Can't wait for the new madden and tiger to get dropped this month

Ha i just bought the PS3 for the same reasons.

Now im looking to see what the best first person shooter is. Hope i dont regret geting PS3 since i will miss the Halo 3 bang. Was the only game i really liked in general.

anyone here other than jzaga who plays resistance? i lost my copy and had to buy another one so i am itchin to do multiplayer co-op again...btw, yes resistance is good. I ahte fps, but for some reason, i like this. i also downloaded the darkness demo...but something about the way that game is designed gives me motion sickness when i play it...looks hot though...

lair is looking very hot!!! i hope it's better than drakengard for ps2 though...drakengard looked cool as hell when it came out, but was boring...lair looks like it's very intense though! I like how they have literally fields of soldiers running in the bg...

 

is lair out yet? I want that game so bad

I found 300 on blu ray to kinda suck. Especially the first half where everything was super grainy. I have a 1080p aquos with hdmi cables, I thought this was gonna be the best bluray dvd out but I gotta say apocolypto is my fav so far. I thought Casino royale was also kinda grainy at some parts too.

 

I'm psyched as hell for that!!! Season 6 was one of my faves...I kinda liked the Oliver Queen angle...they need to bring supernatural out on bluray too...and isn't psych coming out as well? AWESOME show...
