This has to be the most und erhyped, hypable game in Xbox 360 history. It's pretty awesome, and the weather effects that randomly change the driving dynamics of the cars during the race are amazing.

 

I have it reserved, but I hadn't got it yet. I'm kind of upset that the regular Ferrari F50 isn't on there. That was one of my three favorite cars from PGR3. The only F50 they have is the F50-GT, which I hardly ever drove in the last version.

 

I got the original Project Gotham Racing when the old Xbox came out and I've loved this series ever since. Halo 3 is wasting enough of my time as it is, though, so I'm going to hold off on getting PGR4. I'm definitely going to buy a copy by the end of the year though.

 

Get it now, Halo has been on the back burner since this game hit my 360.

 

yes...pgr 3 was bad ass.

I can only imagine how much better PGR4 is.

 

How is the motorcycle racing on PGR4? And can you still race motorcycles when it rains or snows (not sure what weather affects are in PGR4)? What kind of motorcycles do they have anyway, Ducatis and MV Agustas liter-bikes only, or do they have some 600cc Japanese bikes, etc.?

Interested... I'm tired of playing Forza 2 online where all the cars go all over the place because of lag.

 

I just received the December edition of OXM and they only gave Project Gotham Racing 4 an 8.0 out of 10. The reviewer said that it's really good as a whole and that the weather effects and motorcycles are great. The only reason for the low rating seems to be because of the lack of new material; "While it's every bit as awesome as its king-of-the-360-launch predecessor, the lack of meaty new features means it should've been call PGR 3.5," to quote him exactly.
I'm disappointed by the low score but I'm still going to buy the game when I get done with playing Halo 3 online... which may be a while from now.

 

Picked this up last week...and i love it. There are some difference's from 3 to 4, but for the most parts its the same bag of tricks. The rain and snow effects are the best I've ever seen in a game. Sounds is top notch as well. Small details in the graphics have been changed, and a lot more detail was put into the lighting of the atmosphere as well as the cars.

Id say its like PGR3.5, but I still love it. Good, solid, easy arcade style racing game!
