Playing old systems...

I was looking for something in my garage yesterday, and found my old N64! I have it plugged in my computer room on my small tv on here and it's awesome. I've been playing all the old N64 games I loved like Blitz, Goldeneye, Mariokart, etc. Anyone else still play N64? Any games you recommend? It's weird I almost have more fun playing diddly old N64 then PS3/XBOX360/PC games...Do you guys play any old systems still?

A few months ago I spent a few hours playing my old Sega Genesis in the garage. General Chaos and Shining Force II are awesome!

I have NES, Genesis, Sega CD, and N64 hooked up in the guest bedroom. I might play them once a quarter.

Sonic CD FTW!

Yeah, I have everything emulated, but its just not the same as playing on the original system!

Are these emulator/roms exactly the same as the game? And are they legal? Also which gravis pad do you have? What screen do you have it hooked up to.

Sorry for the questions

I plug in my nes now and the,
I also have a 450 mhz PII, soundblaster, riva tnt 2 machine running win98 that I pull out from time to time.

I don't really do it unless i'm bored out of my mind thought. It takes up too much space to have extra computers and consoles out.

Exactly the same

Not legal, but rarely do the game companies care. They go after the big sites that are stupid enough to host them on a webpage.

I have several gravis pads from over the years. Most are almost identical to the SNES and Sega gamepads

http://www.amazon.com/Gravis-G42021-...2990877&sr=1-4

http://www.amazon.com/Gravis-G44011-...2990877&sr=1-6

The others i have are logitech and resemble the playstation controllers

I've got a 19" screen on my desktop computer but i also have a 37" and soon a 65" for the laptop to plug into.

Actually I have not touch my n64 in awhile... I should tho because when I do I just play Perfect Dark or WWE No Mercy. I had good times with that system, I would probably rank it as number one among all my other system for the best play time. I am enjoying the games of today and yesterday, but it was the n64 that truly made me a hardcore gamer today and got me into shooters. Plus nothing beats playing with your friend right next to you so you can smack talk them all day.

Dude!! N64 ftw!! Those were the days.

The games you mentioned were all fun. Donkey Kong 64 was also hella fun; especially when you have three other friends and you play the battle modes/levels.

Those were the days......

The zelda series for the N64 was amazing. Especially ocarina of time which is still probably one of my favorite games today; if not the favorite.

I played KLAX on a PS2, one of those retro arcade collections games.... does that count?

I used to play roms of games like Chrono Trigger for the SNES cause I could never find the actual game.

Actually we would have one hit kill on anyways, so it was intense all around. I dominated in that game. O and someone mentioned Ocarina of Time, hell yea that was truly one of the best games ever made!

Anyone enjoyed N64's "NFL Quarterback Club 2000"...?

I still play that occasionally...as fawked up and stupid as the AI was, I just couldn't get enough with the 80 yard average TD passes or runs...

I remember running up the score to something like 300+ to 14...?

lol, blitz wasn't much better (or worse, however you want to look at it) with have the ability to do crazy passes and whatnot. I remember they had the downs set to 20 yards instead of 10 just because it was that easy. lol

I remember the trading system was also stupid. So, I traded my Bears default QB to the Broncos for John Elway...and then, I also got Terrell Davis for nothing.

And yeah, Elway tossed for 1000+ yards per game and Davis ran for close to 800+ yards each time too.

I use to have a bunch of systems but i was extremely hard on them. Thank god for Virtual Console for the wii. Nothing like Super Mario Brothers 3 on a 60" wide screen.
