My son was messing around with the remote of the 360 and somehow changed the language to Chinese, at least I think its Chinese. So the entire menu system is now useless. Anyone have any idea how to get it back to English?

 

Firstly...learn how to spell "Language", nimrod.



And secondly, learn to read Chinese. We are going to rule the planet eventually...you know it. I know it.

 

And thirdly, I don't have a 360...and so, I won't be of any help.

Remove the hard drive and turn xbox back on. Next locate where the restore factory setting is on the dash. Now turn xbox back off and replace hard drive. You should be able to relocate restore factory setting again even though its in chinese.

I goggled as well. But everything with game or gaming is blocked at work. Including that site. Which is strange because its an MS site.

To set or to change the default language on your Xbox 360 console, follow these steps:
1. Start your Xbox 360 console without a disc in the disc tray.
2. Move to the System section of the Xbox Dashboard.
Note The System section is the last section on the right of the Dashboard.
3. Select Console Settings.
Note This option is the first option in the list.
4. In the Console Settings area, select Language.

Worked. would you believe an error on Microsoft's site. It was the 4th option in the list, not the 3rd.

 

Good t'hear...actually, never knew you had a 360 dude...let alone play video games.

 

It doesn't get too much use as a video game box. (Still haven't finished GOW ) but it gets a hell of a lot of use as a DVD player.
