Here's a great tip I heard about on the net. It might be a glitch so you might want to take advantage of it before they fix it on an update or something.
On the Factory Spec races - you can add aftermarket wheels on the car and still enter it.
You may have noticed most aftermarket wheels raise the car's performance index. This allows you to start on the pole or second instead of the 4th or 5th spot that most Factory Spec races put you in. So it's just a tiny edge to help you out.
This is a huge help to folks like me who are otherwise pretty good but just can't deal with traffic in front of them, and it can be hard to pass, esp. in the Factory Spec races. I just tried it out and it works. I put some Gemballas on my Porsche GT2 and dominated from the start!

Yeah I don't have much else to do these days. I put about 2 or 3 hours into it every day after work and then probably around 10 hours a day Saturday and Sunday.
I like to put some good music on my hard drive and then start up these long Professional Series or Endurance races and just get into a focused zone, almost like a vegetative state, very relaxing to me. Been doing this sort of thing since Gran Turismo 1.
I'm now attempting to collect all the cars. I did the math this morning: I own 265 of the 303 cars in the game, leaving me 38 cars to collect (mostly race cars and some S class super cars). It's gonna cost me about $10 mil to complete the collection, assuming I can't find the cars for cheap in the Auction House (which I might).
About a quarter of that is the Porsche race cars. Someone want to tell me why they have like 11 damn GT3 Cup cars for sale?
Haven't even started on the Arcade mode or gotten serious about online racing yet.

That's awesome.
I could never do that. The most I've done are some assorted stripes and competition numbers.
Well, I've finished Career, finished Arcade, and collected every single car. Only achievement left is to accumulate $1 mil in the online career. I'm slowly chipping away at that but this may be the hardest one because I have such trouble finding decent races online.
It sucks because I like to do medium/long races, mostly on the Nurburgring, or even a series race with a lot of the smaller tracks. I also like the production cars a lot more than the racing ones. Whenever I set a lobby up like that I get no takers. And then when I go join someone else's race, they're doing 3 laps on Tsukuba Short in U999 cars or something.

^^Wow that's great. I'm not a fan of decals on cars but then again that's really well done. How'd you do it?
I just got the MS wheel and I find the Force Feedback a little too strong. I had to deathgrip it and it was fine while racing with slower cars FWD like an ITR but I couldn't ever drive straight with a Camaro SS. Anyone have different settings on their wheel for feedback, deadzone, etc. or did they leave it as is?

i'm down for a race online. gamertag is NL DynastY
i'm usually just playing my career.
as far as the wheel goes i left all the settings and really just got used to it. at first RWD cars were like impossible to drive but you just gotta take it slow and not jerk the wheel too much. but now that i have a higher class car like the porsche its much easier.

You guys want infinite cash?
This little exploit may be fixed in the next update so act fast.
1. Get yourself any 5 Porsches. Doesn't matter what models.
2. Using any means you want, get all five of those Porsches to Level 4. (You'll notice the Level 4 Reward for a Porsche is a 10% Pirelli tires. x5 Porsches = 50% off Pirelli tires for any car in the game.)
3. Now get yourself a Chrysler ME Four-Twelve. (You can win one for free by completing the Extreme Performance Shootout in the Amateur races.)
4. Go to Buy Upgrades for the ME Four-Twelve and select Tires > Tire Compound > Race Tire Compound and buy some Pirellis.
5. Buy the Pirellis for 17,100 and then immediately sell (press X) for 24,400 making you 4,300 each time.
6. Repeat ad-nauseum. Back out every now and then to save.
It's absolutely boring as hell, but it could net you around $3 mil per hour.
This is completely in the off-line Career mode, so there is no chance that your Xbox Live account will be at any risk.

This is a HUGE ass bump for this old ass thread but I was wondering if anybody still plays FM2?
Anybody here play FM2 and NOT have FM3?
I've beaten FM2 three times and I still love it.
