Oh of course. F1 would be nice, but I think Nurburgring is a bit too bumpy for the F1 car. I was thinking either BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car or Mercedes Benz AMG CLK-GTR Race Car.

Anyone in for this??? I'm pretty sure I won't play 30 laps in Nurburgring.

I agree, F1 is overkill. That BMW or AMG would be killer.

Ok...looks like we have at least 3 of us.

Let's make it official.

Nurburgring, BMW McClaren F1 GTR Race Car, all stock, no oil change, Racing Medium (R3) tires, settings are free.

I tried it last night for only 2 laps. Both were dirty laps (spun multiple times). Best was 6'34.xxx. Looks like I gotta practice more in order to reach srika's time.

Tried it again last night. Best clean lap so far was 6'12.133. I had a lap going pretty well that was about 5 seconds quicker. But I spun 3 corners before the long straight at the end. When I got the car going again, I saw the ghost just passed me. So I stopped playing.

BTW, this was with gear auto at 15 and TCS at 2. Everything else was default.

Yeah, just plain sucks.

With this car and this much hp and on this track, I didn't like how easily to spin the drive wheels without TCS. When I tried with everything default and no driving aids, I only managed a 6'24 or something in that range. It was very difficult to modulate the throttle with the controller. So I opted to use TCS but at low setting. Also with this track, I have to pay attention to which curbs I can use and which curbs I can't use. Some curbs are so freaking tall that they just upset the car's handling.

yeah... its tricky.... do you like how you can completely lose control of the car within a second if you make a wrong move? I like that sense of heightened awareness, lol... its a rush to run a clean lap here. I think I'll try in GT mode so I can play with some of the settings - I tried TCS briefly in arcade and felt it took too much of the fun away. But as you know in arcade mode its on or off...

I assume you don't like 2-piece wheels??? Anyway, I went with GT-7's in the TSX because I was going for appearance more than performance. That was why the huge blings.

In that case, I present you my new time >>> 6'06.548

vwong where are you man...... I'm quite sure my setup is good for under 6 minutes... I think you should try it out for fun, because it appears the deadline has passed....... vwong finally dethroned, after 8 weeks of GT4 domination... damn.... good run man.

Damn srika, nice time. That was a smoking fast lap! I wasn't near my computer nor my PS2 the entire weekend. With the setup I had, I think my time was pretty much all I could get. I'll definitely try your setup sometime just for fun. So what's next???

I think most of us have this car, it's one of the first race cars you win - I put "arcade mode only" because I think most of us have probably maxed out the mods on this thing, and you can't remove certain mods such as weight reduction and such. Arcade mode allows for playing with stock configuration, if I'm not mistaken... because there aren't any settings to change in arcade really, I removed that option.

Track:
Seattle Circuit

Car:
NISSAN Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car '02

Rules:
- completely stock
- Tires: Racing: Medium (R3)
- multi laps and entries allowed
- driving aids allowed
- no oil change allowed
- arcade mode only

I have a post like every other page. I took a hiatus prior to moving and now I finally moved but I can't move anything until my kitchen is done. I might pull out the PS2 this week to try this one out. I love that car and did Seattle a lot in GT3 with the GT40 license test.

I think I had better luck at Seattle reverse in the past...

But anyway, I will see if I have time to play GT4 this week. I have been playing some new imports sleeplessly.
