you know i noticed if you look at the max horsepower (310) its at 11000rpm, but the redline is at like 8500rpm and at most you can go over that before hitting the rev limiter is like 9100rpm??

You guys are cheated. There is no way I will be anywhere close to 1'43, let alone beating vwong's time.

Is the Spoon S2k slower in the Chinese version???

Trust me man - I felt the same way you did after the first few laps... I was like 1'41??? no f'in way. The turn I am having the most trouble with is the first one.... I gained a lot of speed in the next turns after the long upwards straight, just taking it real smooth. Also the chicane in the back section after the tunnel is KEY - you must take that pretty much perfectly, or your whole lap is shot. Of course you could say that for pretty much all the turns.
I seriously doubt there is any difference in the car itself, between versions - give it some more time and patience - see if you can knock the seconds off - they get knocked off QUICK!!!

i think its about how you tackle the corners, like if you notice (dunno if im really explaining this that well but) on some of the turns you can kinda shimmy the opposite way a little bit which will give you a good line to just hit the gas and plow thru the turn without having to brake as much (hope i said this right)
mebe ill take pictures to show what i mean

^^^ definitely... I think I know exactly what you're talking about.... like in the chicane in the back section, coming out, you can essentially go 'straight' if you take the correct line.... eh??

So, I see that srika figured out this track already. Nice.
Yes, T1 is very important because immediately following it is the uphill stretch, and you know how there isn't much torque in the lower revs of the S2000. So if you do T1 right, the exit speed will be quicker and you'll stay in the higher revs.
The chicane is critical. As you've already noticed. The corner entry is the key. Get it right and you'll exit the chicane in a straight line. If you get it all crossed up, you can forget about that lap.
Another thing is to try to use up all the track available...meaning get as close to the walls (but not hit them because it'll just slow you down) as possible.
Just curious, how many laps do you guys run before you post the times? I've been running at least 30 laps for the past several rounds.

I hear you on using all the track available... definitely.
I normally run about 5-6 laps before posting a time, lol. Dude you are insane to run 30 laps and post a time.... damn. Hell, I ran 10 straight laps at Monaco - I mean Cote D'Azur - and was like, oh damn, I drove a LOT of laps!!!! lol.

I could probably post the time after about 6 laps in this round. That would get me a lap of 1'42.xxx. But there was mistake in that lap, so I tried to clean it up. Then I would find some other places where I could gain more, but couldn't put all that in one lap. So I continued trying. When I finally put them all together in one fast clean lap, I looked up the lap counter, 27 laps. I told myself that I would stop at lap 30, but then at lap 30, I was so close in beating my best time again, so I was like another lap.....then another lap........then another lap...........then another.............then "time for bed" said my wife. That was when I stopped.
Ok, next time I'll stop at lap 10 (if I can resist).

Because of the WC race at Infineon this weekend, I'd like to run Infineon (the sports car track). And the closest thing to a WC GT car will probably be the Corvette race car (whatever the year is) in GT4. What do you think guys? I'm also thinking about allowing adjustments. Just make sure you post your setup when you post the time. I think this will make this round more interesting.
