November 16th Half-Life 2 who's in?
I'm gonna go get it. Anyone else as excited?
And is anyone going to buy half-life (1) re-done with the new engine? (I believe it's $60 for both games)
Or am I alone in my quest? hehe

No my friend, I have been waiting for some time for this game to come out. HL 1 was one of my all-time favorites. I have upgraded my system and am ready to splatter some alien gray matter!

although i wonder if i play the network will ban me again
bittorrents are not your friends with your local network-- i uploaded probably around 10 gigs of movies/albums, and my dorm hall's network determined my computer had a virus that was taking up bandwith so it just banned me from the network, didnt have the internet for a week

The VOIP chat is already up with a UT2004 server running. Although I'm going to take down the UT2004 server this weekend.
VOIP software I use is http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php
As soon as HL2 is out I'll bring this thread back to life and we can get things going
Feel free to use the VOIP software to voice chat if you guys want. connect to 24.221.29.241 or 24.221.37.200 (both the same server)

No it's in Arizona in the same datacenter I host Acura-CL, TL, TSX, yadda yadda. Just on a different server. Everything is on 2 OC3 (155Mb) pipes.
I have a quad xenon processor server I'm using now for the game server. We can try 64 players. I don't care...

I see there is no HL 2 MP
"Rather than build a new multiplayer component based on the single-player campaign, Valve has instead included Counter-Strike: Source with Half-Life 2. The original Counter-Strike was developed as a free team-based multiplayer mod for the original Half-Life, and it quickly grew into one of the most popular online first-person shooters in the world. Valve even released a retail package of Counter-Strike, and earlier this year there was an updated retail version, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. Counter-Strike: Source is the updated version of the original Counter-Strike, bringing the graphics in line with the powerful new Source engine and making a few tweaks, but otherwise keeping everything else the same."
