I know it is a long shot... but anyone know where i can find a console at a reasonable price? or pre order one?
GF's whole family is playing animal crossing and she feels left out at home everyday now.
Dont want the Lite version.
Been checking best buy, game stop everyday... no luck..

If she primarily wants to get it for AC and only plans to play handheld, I wouldn't hesitate. But if she wants a standard Switch later, being able to transfer the save file is not guaranteed.
I bought a Lite since I didn't want to take up the TV and still wanted to play on the couch or wherever. 95% of the time I use it is in handheld mode, the 5% is for parties.
I don't regret it at all, even though we now have two Switches. The caveat being specifically with AC, you cannot do cloud saves back and forth like with almost every other Switch game... yet.

Looking at getting back into console gaming with this whole pandemic thing and been a long-time PC gamer and had PS2/3 years ago.....friend recommended the Switch...looked at Amazon/BB/Wally/Target/CL/.....WTF. Sold out every where..people want hundreds of dollars over MSRP for new AND used ones too...fuck that.

Right now it is open season for profit seekers. Some resellers on eBay are asking for over $500 for a Switch, with some vendors successfully getting around $750 for the Animal Crossing themed bundle of the branded console and the game within the last week. The typical retail price for those products are $300 and $360 respectively.

Maybe contradictory thinking on my part, but I totally understand flipping consoles during release dates. But people now are stuck at home, going crazy with extremely bored kids. Easy answer would just be to not buy them, but I have read comments from resellers saying even at a high markup, they sell within a day or two.

I got the console about a month ago... had to return it after got all excited and set it up...
after multiple tries, i then found out via google that YOU CANNOT TRANSFER DATA for Animal crossing from Lite to Console... other games you could...

The 5 star island itself took most of the time and i am not even sure if i can take my gold roses with me
those shit took forever to grow...Now i am just worried that if i broke the button since the game requires a lot of pressing especially with swimming, what am i gonna do
