Perhaps not...a dual purpose controller/boomerang is a nice touch, but I'm willing to guess that someone on this spinning rock can come up with something better than that.

The 360 controller is far superior. It combines the best of the GC, Xbox and PS2 controllers. Almost every review has said it is by far the best console controller ever. The PS3 controller is terrible. Doesn't look comfortable at all. Thank god for the aftermarket

I'm up for any change, with exception of the kickass D-pad, i've always loathed the dual shocks. They could only go up from there, unless there are throns on the other side.

I played the 360 a little last nite at GameStop. I hated that controller. Buttons are tiny and the controller is too big. Sony should have never touched the design of the PS controller. It is the best controller I ever used.

you really think they would change it if it wasnt as good or better than the old design? come on now. wait till you try it, im sure it will be perfectly fine. and nothing can be worse than the normal xbox controller. thing is a monster. this ps3 one will be fine. and i wouldnt be surprised if they did change it significantly

Meh, the 360 controller attempts to get the best of the Xbox and PS2 controllers, yet fails IMO.

Nothing wrong with triggers, but they are NOT to be used in conjunction with shoulder buttons. It just is uncomfortable like that.

I personally like the PS2's shoulder buttons. While they may not be AS comfortable as triggers, the fact that you can have two on each side, greatly outweighs any comforts that triggers may hold.

Shoulder buttons are comfortable, triggers are better, but when it come down to it, it's a matter of utility, and shoulder buttons take precedence over triggers.

Almost every gaming site out there agrees (agreement in the gaming world is usually never common) that the 360 controller is by far and away the greatest gaming controller ever created.

Each person is entitled to their opinions, but most (including myself) love it. I've never heard anyone say it is too large before. Some of the negatives say it's actually too small. It's basically the same size as the PS2 contoller so I guess that's too large as well.

the 360 controller fits great in my fat hands. The PS3 controller looks like shit, but may be very functional.

I think they should have kept the PS2 controller design. My favorite controller of all time. perfect ergonomics. the only one I possibly liked better was The Sega Dreamcast controller:

Anyhow...back to the PS3 controller: if I can use it like Blade, it's definitely a winner in my books.

Give it a couple of tosses...then get back to us on how well it performed.
