Good Gaming mice

Whats a good gaming mouse that you use only for games and not as an everyday beater?

things i'm looking for
-light feel, comfortable after hours of use.
-no crud to clean
-big heavy batteries not desired (like in some optical wireless mouses use 2 stinken AA's)
-----------------------
Any old skool folks still use a Razor boomslang?

theres a new mouse from logitech i believe, lets you change the sensitivty of the mouse with a couple buttons on the mouse, would prove kinda useful like if you need to be like precise, and then suddenly need to be able to be twitchy and quick moving etc..

Any old skool folks still use a Razor boomslang?

i have the 2000dpi boomslangf all modded out (cut some internal springs because of shitty manufacturing so the ball never hangs) but i never use it...ball mice suck

i have a logitec mx700 (the wireless one, i think 700) and i love the weight to it and the grip is awesome. the whole feature of switching sensitivities like the boomslang had is useless. if youre playing a slower game like WoW you never use it, and in a faster game like CSS you dont have time to fiddle with it.

the logitech is heavy (2AAA's) but its by far my favorite mouse (the boomslang wasnt nearly as comfy and was too flat). however i do think there is a new razer...mamba or something like that? its optical and has all the game specific features, but i dont trust that company after seeing how fucked up they made the internals on the boomslang (it would break, and the website said it was a manufacturing mistake and that you had to correct it with pliers yourself)

if you want you can score my razer for like $10 +shipping cost (the drivers dont work with xp anyway)

if you wanna be really sociopathic and never leave the darkness of your room with the blinds closed then the best thing - better than a mouse or keyboard or any of that - to improve not only gaming but control in photoshop, autocad, etc, is a good mouse pad. i have a pad made by razer also that i got a while back, and it makes a world of difference. there is one called an x-xomething ripper on newegg that i used to have that had insanely good reviews. i think its like 15$, and worth every penny

mine came from fedex today <3 it somehow got from NJ to california and to my door in only a day and a half! i love newegg

i hated all the other optical mice ive used in the past because they arent 'always on'. the optics powerdown after a few seconds of inactivity to preserve batteries in the wireless case, and to not drain system power for most pc's with small power supplies in the wired case. the razer is always on so it never has that lag. the only complaint after messing with it all day is that you cant turn the light inside off it is extremely comfortable and its so precise i cant imagine going back to my logitech! the optics are obscenely powerful as well...i can lift it off my desk and it still tracks something like half an inch off of the pad

now i have to wait for crappy ups to deliver my dsp headset and im money
