Fios 15mb/15mb
Do you host a server? I see no reason to switch from my 20/5 setup I have now and I do have a server running where I can stream music and movies just fine over most wifi when I am away from home.
I would rather have 30/15

I would go for the fastest download, though it is very nice to able to upload quickly since I basically use gmail as a file server

also it was a bargain for me because they charge me only 55 month because i've been a long time customer..(had dsl with them for 3 years than fios for 2 1/2 years now)
my 15/2 costed me 49.95
6 buck more for 15/15 is a bargain ya?
also i heard they are testing 30/30 for residental lines in california..

I wouldn't mind it but I would get the 20/20 deal but thats like $15/m more then my 20/5 and since I dont upload torrents, just download them then fuck it.
Thing about uploads and downloads is it is dependant on how fast the server is. The only time I see my actual speed being used is when downloading from newsgroups.
I've got fios 15/2 and I'm happy with it. The 2mbps makes me able to vpn in from anywhere and do stuff, which was really hard with the 512 upload speeds on the DSL. 15 up would probably be a waste for most people unless they're using it for servers or what you're doing.
I'm wonder if they keep track of people with residential 15/15 plans and keep those ready to hand over to the riaa/mpaa

Nice Soopa
I have Cablevision and get on average this

but I keep contemplating Boost which would up it to 30/5
And I am near the main node so even when it is heavy usage I still get close to this.

Installers said I took the record for latency to the central office by 3ms

The company has been testing the technology in a number of communities, with some employees having 100Mbps access. According to Verizon, they've initially focused on California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Texas. They're now saying GPON deployment will ramp up substantially in 2008, and all new installs in those States will be GPON.
If they don't I am sure they will

The whole time they were installing it I was talking to my fios guys and they were telling me with Fiber they can up it to whatever they want because its now there lines or something another, I am guess when they used "municipal" lines they had a limit or the wires themselves had a limit. Dont quote me but with fios they were saying they could up it to whatever they want in the future.
I am happy I live in a basically verizon run city, we get shit as soon as they announce it. I don't think you can get another local phone line except for smaller companies and commercial companies.
If they can run as fast as they want then where the hell is HD VOD?
My FIOS VOD chokes on SD if I don't reboot the Actioncrap once a month.
Oh and my DVR reboots once a day since the software update.
