F1 Challenge

Is anyone here into F1 challenge? I recently got a 360 controller to use instead of the key board and i'm just wondering what you guys use to play. I find the that the controller is a tad too sensitive and you have to be real precise with the steering inputs or the car juts hard to what ever direction you're turning. So just wondering what you all use...

Can you be more specific on what game title/platform you're talking about?

You're not referring to "F1 Challenge 99-02" for the PC are you?

I’ve found that with any realistic racing game, I need a wheel to play. Anything from Logitech should be decent.

I am using the Logitech WingMan Formula Force GP FF.

I set every aids to none/lowest... no traction control... no antilock brake... no nothing...

I actually finished the full 60 or so laps from Italy... once...

The fastest lap time I got was 1:27

Well everyone else pretty much summed it up already. You're not going to do be able to do much of anything with a real racing sim unless you have a wheel and pedals. Sorry, but it's the cold hard truth.

If you decide to stick with it though, I would highly recommend that you get the RH05 mod from EMAC F1.

It's free, but IIRC you may need a gamespy account to download it.

I have been playing the GTR2 demo for a while. The fastest lap time I get is 1:43

GTR2 does not run as fast as F1 in my computer but it is still fun to play.

I'm not bothering with the GTR2 demo as I know I'll be getting the full game in when it come out. Hopefully we'll have enough people here to do some online racing.

For some reason it looks like they're anal about deep linking.

Anyway, go in through the front door at:

http://www.emac.sportplanet.gamespy.com/

Click on the F1xx series logos on the left. Then in the left column of the resulting page you'll see a heading for "F1Challenge '99-'02" along with preview and download links for the 2005 season mod. Good luck.

sorry to bring this back... but...

I was watching F1 Sunday.

Kimi was racing in Monza with 1:22:xx time.

I have tried my best but the best I could was 1:27:35..

Just how did he do it?

I tried to speed through the curve just like him but always ended up to the wall.
