Anyone here use aol instant messenger? For some reason,it works so slow on my computer.It take me forever to send and receive messages. I sometimes have to wait almost a miinute before I can send a reply. Even when I have all other applications closed it is the same way. Has anyone else had this problem?

My yahoo instant messenger works fine. I even tried to download an older version of aol im,and it worked the same way. Very slow.

 

Try updating your client. The times that I've had that issue is with an old client.

Otherwise download Trillian and use that instead. You can connect to several chat services using just the one client.

 

I made the switch to Trillian a year ago and never looked back to AIM.

Don't use AIM. If you have a mac, use Adium and if you have a pc use something other than aim like Trillium or Pidgin
