Finally bought a PS3
Finally bought a PS3
$499 with 5 free Blu Ray movies (effectively making the cost $399) was too good to pass up. I worked nights at an EB for a few years so I called them up and they put one aside for me. Last one they had! Got the PS3, Enchanted Arms and the warranty. (Silly not to buy a $60 warranty on a $500 system where they'll give you a new one no questions asked. I always wondered why more people didn't get it when I worked there.)
Now I'm looking into HDTVs, specifically, the Samsung LN-T4665F.

Agreed. I just bought mine from Target. I honestly think this is the best time to buy a PS3. The new 80 gig sounds like its not gonna be too great plus it'll be back at 600 bucks. Also, with the 60 gig no longer being produced, I do believe that the price should not come down anytime soon. So here's to buying a PS3 now!

20GB more that I don't need and a feature I'll never use. So I bought now.

whats happening with the new model is that its the same model that they released in korea. the model in korea has 80gb of HD space and they took out the emotion ps2 chip, so the backwards compatibility of PS2 and PS1 games will be severly limited until sony releases a patch or something for it, much like what the 360 does for xbox games.
there are rumors that they'll release a rumble controller at the same time, but i highly doubt that will happen.

Wait enchanted arms is out on PS3 I thought it was a 360 exclusive. The game is ok but the English voice overs suck. Good deal tho I might have to buy a PS3 when the new metal gear solid comes out.
