Anyone have a Samsung LCD hooked up to PS3?
Hey, I may possibly be purchasing a Samsung LN46a750 soon. Do any of you have either a 550, 650, or a 750 series connected to a PS3? Just want to get some opinions on picture quality....I'm still deciding between a PS3 and a 360..
I have the 650 with a PS3...it looks amazing. Also, the 650 and 750 have the same panel; the only differences are the bezel, some preloaded content, a couple of extra inputs (not important ones, though), and speakers (although I doubt you'll notice the difference). The 550's panel is a slight step down. I also swear I saw a commercial recently saying the Series 8's were out/coming out soon...might want to wait and see what they offer (although it's pretty tough to beat the 650/750's panel).

950 is also on the BB website
^Nice. I remember seeing a chart on Samsung's site that said the Series 8 and 9's were coming out around 4Q and thought I heard it on a commercial this past weekend. I didn't look at the specs in depth, but at a glance, the 850 looks to be a waste of money; no significant improvement over the 650/750. The 950 is awesome! I still prefer the bezel and stand on the 650 (which is why I got it), but that 950 is hot.
I had a Samsung LCD/PS3 setup when I was living in Dana Point (Sammy is currently in storage and I can't remember which model I have).... and it was a GREAT combo...
oh, and btw IMO... when it comes to electronics like TVs... waiting for the "latest and greatest" is kinda pointless... because 6 months later, there'll be a better model. so...

i have the 530
The reason I'm looking at the 750 over the 650 is mainly because of the built in sub woofer. I live in an apartment where I can't really watch anything loud but a little bit of bass would be nice until I move and get a 3-2-1 system. Also, the price isn't much different, the 750 is only about $200 more.
i forgot what LCD model it is but i got a new samsung 40" 1080P hooked up to my PS3 and the graphics are amazing... i used to work for samsung and its a hidden thing but Samsung actually makes the LCD screens for Sony..... Lg makes the majority of screens for the rest of the companies out there.... Samsung doesnt make the LCD technology for sony however, just the screens.... I think for the price and quality SAMSUNG is awesome.
How do you like your 530?

I have a 40in Samsung 4065 model (2007) and it compliments my ps3, 360 and my PC perfectly. I have custom calibration settings from the audio/video forums online and is quite stunning to look at. Remember it's imperative for you adjust the picture quality to your liking. Out of the box the PQ looks decent but changing it up to your liking will definitely benefit you more. Once you have a full 1080p setup along with the capabilities of the PS3 as a blu ray player there will be no need for you to ever go see a movie at the theater.

i don't know a whole lot to tv's and home theaters, but it's been great for tv, ps3, and dvds.
the sound is a lot better than i expected too.
i wish i had gone for the 650, but i didn't want to spend too much on it, and i'm more than happy with the 530.
Sorry I'm late but if you're still in pursuit, check this out here
