PS3 Warhawk

I searched and didn't see any threads about this game... other than the few times it came up in the Official PS3 thread...

...anyway, it looks really cool, it's strictly multiplayer NO single player mode at all! $40 online downloaded or $60 from the store WITH a bluetooth headset!!!

I have it and like it. I got the $60 one with the headset but havent been able to use the headset cause it wont connect to the ps3. Im gonna charge it and try it again tomorrow. The game play is pretty fun and flying takes a while to get used to but still exciting. My only complaint is that killing people with the handgun and rifles is next to impossible and even when shooting people from a plane with the planes machine gun it takes forever.

...so, what's the deal with this game? I play in 3 matches today, I really didn't know what I was doing but it seems like everyone were just out to kill everyone else... Are there teams? Or missions? Objectives?

oh, and to answer my own question, the BT headset DOES work with your Bluetooth enabled phones

btw, saw your pics in the members thread is300eater...looks like you get it in with the workouts! What do you to for triceps and lats? I do all the basics but can't seem to gain any muscle in either spot...i do too about 1 1/2 hours of wushu a day, is that too much cardio? (sorry bout the hijack, but to bring it back to the point, how's the sixaxis work? too flimsy like motorstorm?)

ummm I guess... the BT headset that came with the game wasn't anything special... like it didn't say PS3 or anything like that... it's a Jabra. I just tried pairing it with my Treo and it did... so which is kinda cool, cuz I've been meaning to buy a BT headset. I'm assuming that any BT headset will work with the PS3.

check out these videos... Charles Glass has trained some of the top bodybuilders in IFBB, I've seen him train in person, when I used to go out to Venice Gold's Gym... he's very knowledgable and is VERY nice...

Back and Rear Delts workout (they should always be done on the same day, most people do rear delts on shoulder day)

thanx for the links! I did some of those workouts this weekend, particularly the one he was talking about to bulk up your lats all the way down...WOW do I feel them today...lol...it's cool that just a few little changes can work a MUCH larger muscle group. I wish I were out in your area....you could prolly give me a BUTTLOAD of pointers....any advice for obliques?

btw, i have the actual jabra headset that comes with warhawk...i actually bought it for my wife's phone originally and it works fine with the game too. I also tried it with my plantronics headset and it also works np. So there you have it!!!!

acuraluvr, seems like everytime I get a chat invite from you I'm always too late...lol...we still gotta get down and do some RFOM, I haven't done any multiplayer there yet...

Sorry for the late replys all but yes, I played alot of FPS on PC (Counter-Strike, TF, Rogue Spear...) and on PS3 (Resistance, Rainbow Six Vegas) so im used to a quicker kill using guns.

Man maybe I just suck. but either way using the rifle/machine gun thing totally sucks. Also when your shooting guys with the airplane gun on the ground it does like no damage almost.

it take 2 granades to kil a WH (plane), 10 sec with a flame thrower, and an hour with a rifle lol.. but yeah it sucks trying to kill people on the ground with the planes. But thats kind of good becuase no one would play on the ground if you got killed in 1 sec by a plane.

PS the blue rooms are the RANKED rooms. The white ones wont rank you up

I bought a used copy online for like $35 and played for about an hour last night. Shit is hard. I know it was my first time, but still. I couldn't go more than a few steps or longer than a couple minutes before getting slammed. My highest score in 6 games was 2. lol

I HATE fps console games. I can never aim the gun right. I am 1000x more accurate on a PC with a mouse, but I guess practice makes perfect. That's why I jump in a plane or tank every chance I get. I am gonna make a passworded server and play alone for a while to practice.

If only they made a mouse to work with the PS3...

the game has a learning curve, but it's extremely balanced. Everything has a strength and weakness. I love this game, i play all the time. Tank FTW!

Its really easy, just jump right in and fly around. Key is to get the flying down well and keeping your target in your sights.

That was partly the problem. Flying around, experience says the left stick moves the plane left and right. So when flying, if I get someone in my sites, I always moved the left stick which made me strafe. Then they'd fly right by me and come back to shove something up my tailpipe as I'm busy trying to get out of the trees I somehow got into.

I also saw one guy hovering right by a tree line and shooting some huge, red glowing sparkling things at me. I couldn't hit him cause every time I'd get into a missile battery or something, he'd already have a sparkling ball of death coming at me. TOW missile? Homing missile?

I'll get used to it. Been a hardcore PC gamer most of my gaming career so it's a long habit I have to break out of. Maybe I can customize the controls or something.

Remember to use your E-Brake I think its the L2 trigger. It took me forever to figure it out but it lets you do sharp turns which is critical. All hard dives and moves are done with the right stick if I remember correctly.

I think most of the fun is to be had on the ground opposed to the air.....rocket launchers/rocket turrets/tanks blast the crap out of planes instantly....planes need to really focus Machine gun fire on the humans/tanks to take them down quickly, missles on the rocket turrets are easy if you dont blow up...always use your defense (i forgot what its called, it's left on the keypad tho, its a bunch of silver particles)

The human MG is very quick at taking down other humans+ grenades, sniper rifle is tuff to use since you need to focus and in a heated battle chances are your going to get killed.

Flamethrower will blow up tanks/planes/turrets/jeeps very fast, as well as humans...it's a great weapon, just short range.

Battleknife is one hit kill if you can tag your enemy....

Tank is great against other vehicles and humans, but be prepared to get out quick when being targeted, plus mines will blow you up instantly, as well as rocket turrets (which cant lock on by the way, only jets)

Jeep machine guns are great, but the jeep and the user is vulnerable to death when mounted.

Essentially you need to be able to fly in with a jet, do damage, lower to the ground, jump out, run away, get the next vehicle..so on and so fourth...everything blows up fast so you have to be prepared to run and shoot...etc

The planes can also drop bombs which are very effective against other vehicles..as well as lighting storms which will kill humans fast with an addition of concentrated fire..it really depends on the type of map..zones..CTF...you get points for capturing flags/areas , which will put you in first , more so opposed to team kills....anyways, happy hunting.

I played a bit last night on a small server with only 4 people in it. I just flew around and gathered weapons and tried them out. Once I got comfortable with how the plane flew and what the weapons did, I started trying to help out. When the next round started, I had 10 kills within about 15 minutes. So I guess I'm getting better.

Then I wanted to go downstairs and work on my RC plane, so I stopped for the night. :P
