Played about 20 minutes just to check if the game worked...but, holy chit.

Guys, Kojima has outdid himself...and the game is GORGEOUS.

Of course, 20 minutes is not enough to say how great a game is...but...man, so far...I can see why IGN gave it a 10/10.

Hurry up Black Friday

Are you going to finish BB first or mix both in?

I'm going to finish the main storyline of Bloodborne first...have to...I seriously worked my tail off getting to this part. Good game in itself.

Haha...yeah, like months and months later.

But, we finally have our "killer" apps for the PS4...and Uncharted is incoming soon too. And of course, the FF7 redone for the console. Man, it'll be some heavy-duty gaming.

Down to $35 on Black Friday but the lack of some story that I keep hearing about (no specific details) makes me want to wait more.

Sooo... what's the verdict on this game? I've heard the first level is everything you want the game to be, but then the rest of the game falls flat after that. Some people are disappointed

^Heard the same. As if Kojima didn't get to finish it. At this point the overall storyline is gravy for me. We've covered all the major character storylines of Solid Snake, Raiden, Otacon, Meryl, Colonel, and even May.

Original Snake Voice David Hayter Has No Love For Hideo Kojima

Original Snake Voice David Hayter Has No Love For Hideo Kojima

“I was kinda hoping that Konami would take me back now that he was gone.” In a special edition of the Game Informer podcast, actor and screenwriter David Hayter talked about his “humiliating” replacement as Metal Gear’s leading man and how he really feels about the series creator who wanted him gone.

For Metal Gear Solid V Hayter was replaced by 24 actor Kiefer Sutherland.

Hayter wasn't even asked. According to his interview on the Game Informer podcast he knew the game was coming. Hayter said he took one of the series’ producers to lunch and asked what was needed from him, only to be told they didn’t need him at the moment. Later it was clarified to him that they were trying to recast.

“They tried to do that before and it never worked,” Hayter said. Along with soundalikes, Hayter heard that Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima wanted actor Kurt Russell to play Snake in Metal Gear Solid 3.

As for the famed creator of Metal Gear, Hayter can’t see himself ever working with Hideo Kojima again.

“I think he handled it pretty badly. I’ve got no particular love for Kojima. I respect him and I think he’s a brilliant game maker. I don’t know him as a person and as a businessman I was not impressed. So no, I don’t feel any need to go back and work for him again.”
I'm mixed on all this. Of course Snake shouldn't have the exact same voice as Big Boss, but after MGS3 and Peace Walker, hasn't the ship already sailed?

I'm not too hung up on Kiefer's voice as Snake. It's a big different but overall, the game is just a marvel. Still going through it...about 40% done progress-wise.

I haven't bought it yet

I follow Kojima on Twitter and yeah he's a big movie fan and we know he borrowed a lot from Escape from NY. I mean Snake is basically Russell's character with the way he talks. Would've been cool to have him in Snake Eater. Still thought Hayter did a great job.

The ending is ...and I guess while it's a surprise, there were hints and head-scratchers throughout that alluded to what you're being set up for. And I think it ties the entire MGS storyline together nicely starting with the first NES game Metal Gear with Solid Snake and his fight with Big Boss.

I still have Mission 50 to do but I think it's just a filler stage despite the storyline being completed (unless there's more to it; but, I doubt it). Also, got some half-dozen side missions left after completing the end-game stage (Mission 46).

Getting S ranking on all the Missions may be something I dunno if I can pull off...Some were just absolutely nutbar hard to start with. And also the in-mission side missions, I did not complete a few too. Still lots to do...but, I think after I've wrapped up the non-in-mission Side Missions and Mission 50, I'll put this game to rest for awhile. Gotta save Gotham City and get to Uncharted!

OMG yes you need to play Arkham Knight. So damn good. Was this game "incomplete" as described?

There's a tinge of sadness in this game despite the strong vengeance theme...overall, an outstanding game. Just again, not entirely sure how I feel about the twist. But, as I said...it fits nicely overall and does make alot of sense.

Ahhh...well, I can't say for sure since I need to finish the final main mission to see if there's more to the plot. But, if Mission 46 is the true ending and 50 is just a filler stage...then, I think the story is fine as it is. It nicely ties up the entire franchise and sheds to light Solid Snake's achievements in Metal Gears 1 and 2 (not the Solid games).

It's a fine game. Definitely a great experience. Rather sad that this is probably the last for awhile.

I'll hope to wrap everything up in the next week or two. Didn't get to play last night with the finales for Night Manager and Crybaby-Flash...

This is new at Gamestop for $20 and I got a $5 certificate from them so I think I'm hopping on after finishing Bloodborne.

This game will take awhile and obviously very different than Bloodborne...but, it's a masterpiece in its own right...even if the ending took me for a spin.

Right now, I'm not sure if I'm motivated to get the $$$$$ and resources needed to upgrade some of the powerful weaponry available. The apparent game loophole that allowed you to procure a heap of $$$$ and resources has since been patched and well, now to accumulate that, it is quite tedious.

I thought it was not bad...just that, the twist is...um, yeah. But, it works.

The gameplay is what makes this game great, dude. I would bump it up your queue.

I need to get back to gaming soon. Need to finish Batman and then get Uncharted. But, no time with the recent move and still settling into the new place. I'll be lucky if I start by January.

I recently got Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes from Amazon. Although both games were sold as new, I immediately became suspicious when I opened up the packaging for Ground Zeroes. The package didn't have any documentation inside, such as the seizure warning. Upon further inspection, the "top" side of the disc was severely scratched around the center hole, like someone ran it though a scratchy CD drive. Then I flipped over to the underside of the disc, and I couldn't see any PlayStation word marks embedded in the disc. So I called up Amazon and complained that I think I was sold a fake. Amazon is now sending me a replacement disc from another seller. Should arrive this week. I offered to send the disc back to Amazon so they could inspect it, but they weren't interested.

Anyone else have experience getting a fake game?

Wow...no...never has happened to me. At least you were able to resolve it.

Enjoy the games!

No idea. I think it's a security thing. Lots of complaints on slickdeals. Honestly I use them only for hard to find used games that no major retailer carry. I've been finding better deals via Best Buy, Amazon, and Target.
