for those of you that paintball (like me), and are playing COD4 on the PC there's a paintball mod:

speaking of perks what classes and perks do you guys use these days? I changed mine up a little bit. I still use stopping power but I started to use UAV jammer and steady aim on my SMGs. heh, kinda backwards from cmark.

I've also started using the Skorpion with bandolier, stopping power and steady aim. The gun is so underrated, aside from the small clip it kicks ass. I used to have last stand as a perk on every class since it was funny as hell but steady aim is so much more useful especially on the M16. With the M16 + SA in close quarters vs. even an auto shotty, I've actually won quite a few times.

with my shotgun class I can't what's best. But its always frag x 3, and UAV jammer and extreme conditioning. Helps chase people down pretty well. and for domination I change it to juggernaut + martyrdom.

and some of you probably know already but if you have an MP5, just have the M9 as a sidearm and you start off with more ammo.

I usually play the lone wolf role. I try to stay away from my teammates to flank the other team so these days I'm relying heavily on UAV jammer with either bomb squad/bandolier and extreme conditioning. Couple this with silencer on the P90 and I guess it can be really annoying.

Stopping power is tempting but really, this nets me the best k/d ratio in my experience.

Other than that, I just use m16 with stopping power, bandolier, extreme conditioning. Can't snipe for the life of me though.. good snipers get my respect.

it really depends on the map .... on longer range maps i can never ever go wrong with

m16/m14 (with red dot sight) or Ak47 with (acog)

stopping power
deep impact/extreme conditioning

For short range:

I like
m60 (reddot or grip)/ RPD (reddot or grip)
stopping power
steady aim (i will hip fire most of the time, and rack up tons of kills)

For maps with decreased visibility such as downpour
AK47 With silencer
UAV jammer
Extreme conditioning

No one will find you with that setup, and your fast which makes you an even harder target and you can get to places quick.

For SHIPMENT (the total spam grenade level)

I rarely use SMGS....

MY KD used to be around 2.5.... right now it's 2.1 @ 37000 kills (it's dropped significantly since i've been doing prestige modes and just trying to get points rather than playing it safe ).

i usually stick with stopping power and martyrdom for most of my weapons (ie. M4, MP5 and G36). I'll rack up a lot of kills in one match but I'll usually die just as much. Which is pointless in the end. So now I'm trying to teach myself how to survive more lol

I usually run and gun, which I find is the first (and main) reason I die a lot

stopping power and that perk where you shoot through walls on most guns... I usually start off sniping... (depending on what map.... sometimes I'll snipe the whole time )
then, a few minutes into the game, I'll just pick up other people's guns (trade my pistol in)

M21 for sniping
M4 sometimes G36

I don't really care for any of the light machine guns...

Just tried the skorpion.. it pretty much kicks ass but the small clip screws me over.

It's a tough transition from a p90 clip to a skorpion clip..

Does anyone use mini uzi or ak74?

^I've tried the uzi + AK74, both with the silencer... I like the uzi with stopping power and ak74 with UAV or SP. I like the P90 but always end up going back to the MP5 or skorpion

I don't know if you guys snipe a lot but you should try the Barrett with ACOG, stopping power and steady aim. 1 shot kills to the torso, I use it like an assault rifle. Its funny close range too, hearing a .50 cal go off a bunch of times

For you guys who have bandolier with the m16/m4/g36.... stop. You don't need it, they all use the same bullet, so if you see "press X/square to pick up m16/m4/g36" then look for a corpse and walk over it. I never run out of ammo that way, except with the M4. oh and the silencer + UAV jammer is great for survival.

my new favorite is the silenced G3 + bandolier stopping power and steady aim. Usually the queers using a glitch controller suck at using it, but the recoil is hardly there and it has good ironsights

I like both the Ak-47 and the AK-47u. Both are good combo of fire rate, range, and damage. Needless to say the 47u is for close combat and the 47 is for medium to long.

I use to absolutely HATE ACOG scopes. Specially on a sniper rifle (still do). It shortens the range of the weapon and throws off accuracy a bit. However, I picked up a M4 with ACOG on in a Sabotage game at Ambush, and I went on a 10 kill streak from the top of some stairs. After that it made it into one of my classes.


first perk is normally Frag x3 except claymore with snipe class
2nd varies between UAV, or Sleight of hand w/ P90
3rd is almost always Extreme Conditioning.

I played with cmark (hombow) last night, but we didn't clan so at times we weren't on the same team... there was one match where I had a streak going so I was camping big time... he kept coming after me from the same angle/direction and I just taking him out I felt really bad but

Yeah the ACOG isn't for everyone. Honestly I never use it except on that one class with the Barrett, just to mess around. I have on/off success with the AK47 too, sometimes I kick ass with it but other times its accuracy is just too poor for longer range shots.

Do you also camp out on pb fields? I pretty much play pb the same way I play COD. Advance cautiously. But I do push it too much sometimes.

As far as SMGs, I love my silenced Red Tiger P90. Too bad the Uzi is the SMG that comes in gold for that weapon challenge section(SMG). The AK74u is the SMG that inflicts the most damage.

i've been exploring other guns and perks but I always end up back to the M4 Carbine and the MP5. IMO, those are the best

yes it does. If you notice, with that perk enabled, your crosshair is smaller while the gun is at your hip. I always aim when I shoot, so it's pointless for me to use it.....and I think most people aim while firing. But I do know a few people who use it and swear by it.

I tried out the Extreme Conditioning perk last night. I used it with a Skorpion/3 frags/Stopping Power/Extreme Conditioning. It kinda suits my run and gun shooting. I only pause to throw a frag or to snipe a sniper. It would be better if I weren't so rusty. Time to shake off the cobwebs.

I will agree eavesdrop is useless, unless you're playing in a professional tourny or something I guess. But steady aim helps so much on some guns. I like it in cqc because when you have the sights up you can't move the crosshairs faster. It especially helps on assault rifles, cause once you bring up the sights you barely move anywhere when you strafe.

I used to get slaughtered if a guy with a shotgun came out of nowhere, but now I can stand a chance with my M16. A guy with an auto shotty came from the side in one of those rooms on Vacant and I killed him without aiming down the sights

some people use double tap on the M16 there IS a difference, but its hardly enough to justify wasting a perk on that. steady aim is kind of a waste on SMGs though, since you move just as fast when aiming.

Double tap on the M60 FTW. With this I can shoot from the hip pretty good without Steady Aim. Then it is the LMG inflicting the most damage.

I tried the ACOG on the Barrett like IGTC said and I like it. I only used the ACOG a few times before and didn't like it. IMO, it goes best with the Barret.

no i dont. I tried to do it but I just keep upgrading to the next prestige whenever I reach it, so I dont have enough time to actually get all the challenges

its weird because when I pick up other people's guns with different setups, I'll like, but when I go change my setup to be like theirs... I end up not liking it

same here, a lot of people don't use silencers so when I find a gun without one I feel naked.... like oh shit someone's going to find me.

and some of the challenges are too hard. There's like 6-8 total that I don't have yet, the slasher one I don't cause I don't like to run around and knife. Plus the one where you have to use bullet penetration through a wall and hit a claymore/C4 and kill someone.... wtf indeed.

sho nuff, the G3 is a great gun, especially for long range maps. the m14 is just fun to use, though it takes getting used to. Once you start getting headshots one after another, you'll know you're getting used to it. try steady aim with the M14. If you use the sights and try to tap the trigger too fast it'll bounce everywhere, but from the hip it doesn't recoil upwards.

wow. i tried using the M16 with stopping power and steady aim. Once you get used to not aiming and just firing from the hip, wow thats a quick kill. i wasn't really a fan of the burst fire guns but that one is pretty strong lol
