I am guessing it has to do who you are playing with. If someone doesn't have the map pack, I would guess that everyone can't play on the new maps.

got a 360 recently and also this game
I felt that the single player was a bit short. I completed it on easiest difficulty, now starting again with higher difficulty.
I also got xbox live recently and started playing. I'm only at lvl 9 so far, but it is a lot of fun playing with others. Everyone runs over me in the game, but I'm learning.
Anyone care to share what are good combinations to use in your custom classes.
I felt that the single player was a bit short. I completed it on easiest difficulty, now starting again with higher difficulty.

I like the G36C gun with red dot best (under Assault)... I often times will have two primary rifles (G36C and a snipe rifle) thus no UAV jammer... the sniper rifle I use for long distances... but in maps where it's close quarters... I just use the G36C with UAV jammer....
3 Stun + 1 Grenade on most classes... but if I'm sniping then I got with claymore+UAV Jammer

if your team doesn't have UAV... listen for footsteps... if you can hear footsteps and on the HUD you don't see your teammates near you, you know there's a least one or more enemy close by... it helps A LOT to have 5.1 surround sound...
tho, there IS a perk for having slient footsteps but very little people uses it... walking around crouching will get rid of YOUR footsteps... but obviously you can't get around as fast...

Use juggernaut and the M16 with the stopping power perk and red dot sight once you unlock it. That's the best setup for you and will take people down real quick. Also, and this is a while away, but don't do Prestige Mode after level 55. It's not worth it.

move around a lot... try not to just stand in one place... makes you a easy target... if you're sniping, take someone down... move to another spot, even if it's just a few feet away... cuz most likely that guy will come looking for you, take him down again? 99% he WILL come looking for... With automatic rifles, keeping the trigger pulled the whole time (perhaps a whole clip) is less accurate than short quick taps (3-5 bullets at a time)
if you kill someone at short range... especially if you knife someone clear out of the area fast, cuz there's a good chance are he's got Martyrdom (that's when the person killed drops a grenade automatically)

You can hear the grenade drop and sometimes you just can't escape, but most of the time you can get away. I take caution when running over bodies I just killed because of that.

Last stand + desert eagle > martyrdom
I almost always kill someone on my last stand if they're close.... the best thing is killing someone who is so far away you can barely see them while on your last stand
And for guns that have decent iron sights, use a silencer.... so many times I've killed an enemy and his buddy runs right past me, then I take him down too

I was on the long sniper level with the bus that has a broken building at one end, I believe called ambush. So i am peak sniping from the broken building with claymores set behind me. Dude hits one, dead, comes back, hits my second, I realize he is coming back so when I hear his footsteps I pull out my deagle, kill him. My team is on the other side so they spawn next to me, he comes back a fourth fucking time, kill him again with the deagle! I went 16-0 and in the lobby he was pissed with some "Bullshit no way your deagle is faster then my M60!" BOO HOO!

I like Ambush... that map is hilarious
In that one broken building with the ladder in the middle, some guy was camping with a Dragonuv. I climbed up, pulled out my desert eagle and emptied it but didn't kill the guy, so I got out the R700 and killed him in one shot while he was mid-lunge, Halo 3 bulltrue style

one time I was in a match, and some dude had this golden M249 SAW (light machine gun)... the first time I killed him... I went, drop my pistol and picked it up, this... "golden" gun 
(I have a habit of doing that, trading my pistol for other people's guns)... well, he must have came back for the bullets... and discovered that it was gone, and figured that I took it... so it was on... he kept coming after me, but I kept killing him (with his own gun) So, I told my teammates this... and they all ended ganging up on him... and taking his... "golden gun" 
yeah, he left before the match ended

Just got back from school for summer vacation, I am so used to playing on my 17" monitor wit the VGA cable now I'm playing on a 47" tv. My game has pretty much gone to shit...can't seem to do well at all..aim is off and everything. Anybody else experience the same problem??

I went backwards... I used to play on a 50" DLP... but I sat really far away... now, I'm on a 24" LCD Sharp Aquos... but I'm sitting like 3-4 feet away... really no difference... comes out to be about the same...
Now, with that said... I have a 1080p 46" in storage... I really want to use it, but no room here at my mom's house... I'm wondering how it would be with it... I never used it with the 360 when I lived away... but I had the PS3... and the picture was excellent...

how far away are you sitting? If you're right in front of it, like you were with the 17", yeah... I would think it's actually harder to see the whole screen...

How bad is this? My buddy and I were talkin' about car detailing earlier and I meant to say "clay bar" but kept saying "claymore"... and he was like..."...what da hell is 'claymore'?" I didn't even realize that I was saying the wrong word... and was like "DUDE, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT 'CLAYMORE' IS??!! I kept saying it so he finally asked "...is that like claybar?" I just started laughing and had to explain

I'm STARTING to get better finally, but I've been in a slump. I'm at 40 or so now, and I have no idea how you guys get to 55. It is taking FOREVER to get this high. I'm also having a hard time trying to decide what to use lately. Usually I've been rocking the G3 w/ red-dot, bandolier, stopping power and deep impact, but now I'm switching w/ the G36c and M16A4 with the same perks. I want to rock the overkill with the P90 but the I can't use stopping power. Grrrr this sucks!!
