360, PS3, PC: Battlefield 4
360, PS3, PC: Battlefield 4
(sorry if this is a repost, I did a title search and no Battlefield 4 came up)
I didn't put "360" or "PS3" or "PS4" or whatever in the title, because so far it's only been confirmed for the PC
Watch it in HD!

looked cool as hell and realistic as hell and I was really getting into it ...... until the dude shot the guy in the window 3 times, he gets up, shoots 3 more times, he gets up, and then shoots 3 more times until he's down.
you make a game look that 'realistic' and shit like that just doesn't look right.
ok that aside, it looks great and furthermore I would also guess it will look pretty much exactly like this on the PS4 as well.

While I doubt it, it would be nice if they brought back the commander mode like in battlefield 2.
And nice touch with the angled irons, I wonder if that means we can have even more customization with the guns.. That should make the mall ninjas happy with their geared out 20+lb guns

way smoother. the lighting/shadows. very noticable.
PC master race checking in
truth be told, a few of my friends built PCs and so we decided to play on PC.
I'm just weary of buying games from EA and Activision now for fear of essentially getting COD 2013 or BF 2013 and getting sucked into a DLC wormhole. So I'm no longer on the PC > consoles soapbox, I'm now on the fuck EA/Activision one
i might end up getting this though

I might build a PC just for this.
And I actually loved the DLC stuff they did for BF3. Made the game last longer than the typical few months lifespan, especially for consoles. Now that MOH is out of rotation, they should just do one BF game every 2 years and fill the year in between with awesome DLCs.

Releasing every 1-2 years would be very COD-like. By that, I mean direct sequels.
BF2 came out in 2005
BF3 came out in 2011
BF4 now due in 2013...
Modern Warfare 1 - 2007
MW2- 2009
MW3 - 2011
Black Ops - 2008
BO2 - 2010
BO3 - 2012
etc.
having multiple DLCs, while they can add a lot more to the game, is something Activision loved to do with COD. I can say that with BF, at least they give you more content. I remember paying $15 for pretty much 3 new maps in COD then realized what a ripoff it was when they ended up releasing another DLC not long after for the same price.

Meh, I have no problems paying $15 for 4 maps, that's pretty much a movie ticket these days that's over after a couple hours, or about 3 trips to Starbucks (that last even less). I guess I value $15 differently, I factor in the amount of time I spent playing MP every week, $15 for entertainment or guilty pleasure is cheap
It's the principle of it all. I know my dumb ass has wasted more money on shorter lived trivial things. But they're basically recycling and repackaging games now.... few people buy blockbuster FPS games for the single player, which is the biggest change year to year. Publishers and developers are getting lazier now... MW3 map designs are HORRIBLE and it was beginning to be bad even in MW2.
The more people continue to buy DLC, the more they'll push towards finding ways to charge people for more. I'm REALLY surprised they haven't made cosmetic packages yet, like certain camo or outfits for $2 here, $3 there...
The Sims 3 (published by EA) currently retails for $30. The total amount of all of their DLC is close to $500, and that's just for one base game.
like I always say, they don't do it for a reason but it really should be called COD 2012, 2013, 2014 and so on now because that's really what it's becoming.

i dont mind it either, but when they release another version at the same cost that includes all the DLC and any future DLC, that annoys me.
as was the case with BF3, i preordered the limited edition, came with back to karkland. ok fine.
then a little bit later they came out with a premium edition of BF3, it costs the same as the version BF3 i paid, but all the DLC and all future DLC was included.
guess im a little butt sore about that, i ended up rebuying the premium BF3 since it wouldve been cheaper than buying the DLC individually
ramble ramble (dunno if making any sense)

I had the limited BF3, didn't buy any of the DLCs until Premium came out for cheap, traded one for the other, recouped losses and still enjoyed all the Premium DLC without paying out the a$$.
I agree that COD DLCs were simply map packs, but BF3's DLCs were awesome!!

Excited for the release of bf4. just can't decide if I'm going to stay with xbox when the next gen systems come out or move to playstation. Not a fan of how cheaply built the 360's are I've been thru probably 4 or 5 systems since release.. red ring, tray issues, laser issues etc.. and I've read xbox might be charging $10 a month for there online servicefor the upcoming system but that's just rumor. Just not sure which one.. Guess I have a couple months to make up my mind..
It sure does.
I got fed up with BF3's multiplayer. Hopefully this is better.
And I really miss the feel of BF:BC2, the guns felt so...hard hitting and the game was just gritty. I think it had an excellent feel. BF3 has a very...PC feel to it...
the guns sounded and felt like Airsoft and...more CoD-like.
Just my
I am looking forward to this game though.

It should be out when the console releases or close to it.
I checked for Xbox last night and it comes out 2 days before the console does...
It came out today for the current-gens though.
