Would you consider an S2000 a "practical" car??

As stated above what do you guys think about an S2000

Is it a practical daily driver? I got an itch to get one of these, just an itch for now, but the more I think of it the more non-practical it is for me at least living in NY!

Cons:
-Summer is only a few months out of the year, not long enough to keep the top down that often.
-Winter in NY........SNOW (I have a 91 Integra as a beater)(so problem potiential solved)
-2 seater roadster

Pro:
-Awsome styling
-4 banger w/balls
-2 seater
-drop top (for a few months, maybe)
-fun to drive
-reliabilty

I am sure everyone once had an itch for another car besides there while you stil have it, mine is the S2000! I might be able to test drive the car this weekend, and then I will decide, I hope

I considered one, but it wasn't "practical" for me. I needed a back seat. A larger trunk. The winter issues didn't scare me off. I see people driving Vettes in the winter. Anything is possible with some snow tires. :o

In the end, it came down to size. Just too small. Wife liked it. But she wanted something a bit bigger. So we settled on the G.

I too considered the S2000 before I got my Z. I liked the car a lot, but it wasn't very practical. The Z isn't great in that department either, but it was slightly better with more interior room and more storage space.

The biggest turnoff for me with the S2000 was that it was a convertible. I know they are cool to drive, but living in CT, I'd probably have to drive around with the top up 80% of the time. I'd rather have a Coupe.

It's a cool car though.

As your only car it definitely isn’t practical.

Fun yes, but not practical.

Practical for the warmer months, yes. All year round, no. If you're willing to drive a beater during the winter months, I'd say get it. You can still enjoy the S2000 during the spring, summer, & fall.

If you're over 6 ft or over 200 LB's...not too comfy.

I wasn't too impressed on my extended test ride...fun for a short time, but winding that thing out in every gear was a pain in the arse...

its absolutely not practical. its a 2 seater (strike one) its a convertable (strike 2) its got barely any trunk space or any other storage space (strike three, youre OUT!!!)

the S2000 is a great fun car, a second car. anyone who uses an S2000 as a daily driver and ONLY car, especially in a northern climate, is an idiot. its not made for that at all.

That is exactly what I thought, as much as I would like to get one, it isn't a practical vehicle for my situation, damn it!! especially in NY, oh well I still will keep the CL-S, the more overall practical car for me!

Thanks for the info guys!
