Link doesn't work, at least for me. If its a picture of the old school looking white Honda convertible, then its the Honda S500. After it came the S600, the S800, then finally the S2000 about 2 decades later. They were a line of high-revving open-top roadsters made by Honda.

And holy crap that's a big meet! They can even split it up by color. That would be on honor to have him sign the center console cubby in my S2000, if only I had one.

The best part was the chief engineer of the NSX and the S2000, Shigeru Uehera was there IN PERSON! Honda had him flown in from Japan.

This was a great event - I really wish I could have driven my S2k down there...

Hopefully Honda will do something like this for S2k owners on the east coast.

there's on in those pics (a red one) that looks like they had the hardtop custom molded to the body to make it look more coupe like....is that a kit or just a real intense custom job???

The early S cars are pretty rare here in the US...

Yeah, to Marysville, Ohio we go! TSX and 1G TL owners can go to Japan.

I doubt Honda/Acura will ever have one for the TL. Too many commuters driving them, most of them enthusiasts are on this site, and compared to the S2k guys we're nothing.

My buddy got his the same time I got mine in 03. Mine had about 76k when it got totalled but it was great til then, and my buddy's has 102k now and it runs as smooth as the day he got it...and we both drove them pretty hard...so I'm tempted to say they have practically bulletproof trannies and motors..

Good question... I've wondered the same as I've seen a bunch of 00's and 01's for low teens with over 75K miles on 'em...

It was a meet organized by Honda for S2000 owners, for the introduction of the S2000CR. It was called the S2000 Homecoming, and you had to sign up on a website and give your vehicle info to them to verify that you are an S2000 owner.
Info:
When: Saturday, September 8, 2007 10:00 am-3:00 pm

Where: American Honda Motor Co., Inc. in Torrance, CA

Who: Only S2000 owners will be admitted in their S2000's. You have to drive it to get in. Obviously only one additional guest per car, no trunk riders...please. Please don't show up in your minivan. I'd rather avoid the scene as you're turned away.

What: Everything is Free. Get to see the S2000 CR before it hits dealer lots. Our large parking lot will also fill up with S2000's of all types as owners arrive, creating possibly one of the biggest gatherings of S2000's in the US, dare I say ever. Lunch will be served (hot dogs, hamburgers, etc..nothing fancy). Some cool giveaways will also occur. We may also have some other cool cars on display!

How: Courtesy of American Honda Motor Co. and my impassioned presentation to management!

The registration website is up and running just this morning. It's not perfect as it was purpose built just for this event. You must use your VIN to register and get further details on the event via email. We will send another email out closer to the event with more details. I'm purposely leaving things a little vague to avoid gate crashers. If you register, you will get all the info you need as we approach the event. Just be sure to use a good email address!!

Some lady has 230k on her 03. Plenty of folks have 120-130k and these aren't people who drive "sedately" by any means. One guy needed a rebuild at 160k but that was because he was supercharged from 60000 miles!

Take care of it and it will last forever.

Depending on which supercharger kit you opt for, they can be deceptive. My buddy's 02 S2k with Comptech SC still has an S2k like powerband, with the boost really coming on at the top.

A typical SC setup on an S2000 makes around 320 wheel and should be good for high 12s.

Im assuming no special maintenance (expensive) is needed for the S2k?

Still loved the one i drove but no way I can have it as a daily for me. Im too prissy.

I'd kill for one for a track car though but i know some tracks are making it harder for convertibles to be allowed.

320 to the wheels.... man....I can only imagine. I have never driven a FI'd s2k...i wonder if there is a setup that widens the powerband so it doesn't have to be wound up so high all the time...
