Also rockstar mentioned car payments- we don't have any payments and I like it that way, your ymmv. My Tsx $1028 a month was getting annoying. It's done and no more payments on any toys

It was a 24 month loan 0%
Bought Tsx 11/26/14 . Loan expired 12/26/16. Paid of 12/25/15
So essentially paid it in a year
As far as wife's car, we saved $1000 a month for last 74 months (she owned her Lexus ) as her car fund. Thankfully she spent 29000$ on wrx (msrp 32,550) plus ttl. So the "wife" car fund has money left over which I am happy with
Edit: ca dmv is being slow as usual
No registration yet in mail
No plates
No title

They used to be even slower. I remember when I bought the Accord took them 1.5 months to get my my plates.
The Explorer it took 3 ish weeks. I guess DMV sent them to my Ford dealer and then Ford sent them to me. It had Ford's address on the return label.
(wasting money, because I live 5 mins away, but whatever) I didn't put them on until September...

Yea lots of dealers here nowadays
Go to dmv and do paperwork themselves
Then they (dealer) mail you plates

I rather have a M4 sedan than my wagon or e63 amg wagon but long term maintenance and issues (even during warranty) is pain to deal with it
I am sure I will be giving in soon enough
Euro bug gets everybody

The lease on that one I drove was 700/month...or pay 48K to buy it...wasn't in a position to do that (intelligently) so I passed. It was blue...6MT...
I agree, nothing drives like German...there's no way around it.
I was recently expanding my search and found that there were some S4's with 100K warranty I'd fk with.

My office car is already leased
I can't lease personal cars on top of that
Not worth it for me

That's what I meant...purchase, not lease.
I have a friend that is a senior purchaser for Carmax...
I may do that when the time is right...
in the meantime, time to pay this 401K loan off instead of buying a new car when I already own 2.

Good on you
Being financially prudent and living below your means (especially if your partner is on board) is one of the most rewarding experiences in life
Allows one to have no pressure for jobs etc
Love it

Same as neuronbob. If you see his house, similar to mine . Not living in 10,000 sq mansions like our contemporary
Allows you to have paid off toys
No debt
Save for kids college
If I lose job tomorrow I can live 24 months without one
Being overly financial conservative has its perks
![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Then again having your life partner on board is key . My wife doesn't buy diamonds or care for range rovers so I am lucky
Two docs I work with
Cheap as can be
But their wives live million dollar lifestyle
So they are barely getting by
And fighting with wives all the time
You are almost there my friend, keep up the good work
