What was You Scariest Incident In A Car?
I think mine happened today. It was raining like mad here in Albany, and I was on the interstate doing about ~45 because it was raining very hard (yet people were still flyin by me on their cell phones
) . I was in the middle lane and was going pretty much in tandem with a truck next to me in the right lane. We came to a *very* gradual curve to the left in the road. I steer the wheel and all I get is massive understeer, sending me heading right for this truck next to me. VSA clamps down the breaks, nothin. I keep headin for the truck. Suddenly, my tires finally grab real fast, and thereby upset the rear end, which starts wagging around. Another foot and I woulda been fucked. Scared the hell outta me

80 mph, 97 accord.
I was riding shotgun and my buddy got adventurous on city streets. We hit a parked van, tore its axle, sent it flying onto someone's front porch, and totalled another car. Both were parked.

well, there was the time i hit a deer and then rolled the car, on backroads in a terrential downpour, car landed upside down in a water filled ditch.
or the time a fucking SPEEDING OFF duty ambulance PLOWED into my old lude, that pretty much sucked nuts.
So...I think I got you beat

spun out at 110 mph on surface streets and proceeded to take out a speed limit 40 sign backwards and spin a few times across the center divided (a raised section with curbs) and end up still going 25 the wrong way down the other side of the street...at least i won the race
75 MPH in my old Saturn down an empty stretch of I35 in San Marcos in front of the outlet malls for those Texans out there. It was raining VERY VERY VERY HARD! I hit a puddle hydroplaned, veered left, overcorrected, spun twice to the right then the back end hit the center wall and spun me half around to the left. Ended up facing the wrong way on the highway. Luckily there was noone on the highway but me. My trunk was never the same. The whole back end was jarred a bit and my passenger side wheel hub had to be replaced. Damage could have been a LOT worse though!

Getting on the hwy going about 60 mph in the winter in a 01 Solara. He has aftermarket wheels with high performance tires, meaning horrible in the snow/slush. We did a 180 in the middle of the highway, but luckily stopped on the shoulder some how and got stuck in a snow bank. No damage though. Almost felt like an amusement park ride.
It'd have to be the offset head-on collision that totalled my 03 cl (original thread)
only a couple months after i got my license, i raced another car down a stretch of highway at 75mph while it was still raining. around a corner, at a stoplight (still green), one of the cars decides not to sit in the turn lane and instead pull out right in front of me. i veered off into the other lane, slammed on the brakes, fishtailed, overcorrected, and spun one and a half times while sliding sideways, eventually coming to rest in the ditch facing the other way. no harm done to the car, but i was looking right at the concrete barrier face on twice, scared the absolute living shiet out of me. i didn't move from that spot for another few minutes. my first, only, and last ever street race. i think if it wasn't raining, i would have slammed into that concrete barrier and flipped over...
second scariest: having a raised 4x4 with the brushguard not stop at a stoplight and nearly T-bone me. the brushguard was right where my head was. guess what? driver was on his cell phone... luckily he slammed on his brakes and i slammed on the gas, barely enough time to make it out of the way. right there i stopped in the street, got out of my car and just chewed his ass out with everyone else watching...

I was going about 50 on a backroad in my old firebird... there was a stop sign but it was blocked by a bush...I went straight through it at 50, hit the hump in the middle of the intersecting road and jumped the car. I flew into someones front yard and spun a 180 through their bushes... missed two large trees by inches on either side.
I was going up a mountian and it had rained hard, turned off the VSA (stupid) was going about 40 and cut a corner which was a hump, the back came off the ground did a 180 and the back tires were on a ledge which was a 20ft. drop. No damage, but i almost pissed my pants.

Getting off I-20 doing about 90 in my Olds Alero GLS, I got for HS graduation. Light was green at the bottom of the ramp, so I took the corner at about 45-50, hit the patch of sand and loose gravel that noby ever drives over, car slammed into curb, flipped and I landed less than 2 feet away from the Concrete bridge support.

Doing about 85 through the canyons in Angeles Crest w/ a girl I was dating when I hit a patch of black ice and did 2-3 full revolutions stopping about 10-15 ft short of a good 100ft drop.
