What should I buy, NSX or Viper? Your objective feedback required
Put away your die hard acura fanatic blindness and tell me which car is better? Assume that you would spend the same money on either car.
My buddies and I we're discussing the NSX vs VIPER, my friend who owns a viper (ill post pics later) doesn't understand why anyone would by the NSX!
I have two other buddies with NSX's (maybe three, but I don't really like him enuf to call him a buddy) claim they like theirs for the track.

Sorry but as nice as the NSX is it is still old as the hills. Maybe 10 years ago this would be an interesting question but the NSX is just not a viable option anymore

Both. I've driven both and love them both for different reasons.
The Viper is a beast to drive and is fabulous for going fast in a straight line. Acceleration is like a freight train.
The NSX is such a well engineered, well balanced car that tossing it through corners on a track or on the backroads is insanely enjoyable and the sound of the VTEC engine is just so harmonious.

hmm, interesting choice....i mean clearly the viper will smoke the shit out of an NSX, but i think the NSX is probably a bit more "user friendly" and there is just that certain something about the NSX, even though we know its an old body style and its slow....its just got that "exotic" look and feel to it. i would probably pick the NSX out of the 2.

Viper, but the older body style. I am not that much a fan of the new ones, not as out there as the older one was. But, then again, I am biased.
Just to give you an idea though, I have a friend who has a '91, and the two of us went on a drive down a cool, very twisty road. I can hang with him with no problem. So, the Viper can do turns, just not as gracefully or easily as the NSX.

NSX= easy to go fast
Viper= easy to go fast in a straight line, torque and short wheelbase takes a good driver to exploit it in the turns.
Me I would get the Viper the NSX is an incredible chassis but underpowered, which in general terms puts it in the same category as the Boxster, just begging for more power.

Viper.
Even though the prices are about the same, the NSX isn't really in the same class. So it just depends on what kind of car you like more. If you want to spend that much and really don't care about raw power, I'd suggest a new 911 over the NSX.
