this past summer i went to a 350Z/G35 meet with my friend... and we were all parked at the end of a parking lot and a whole bunch of civics and accords saw us and started driving by revving their engines... one of the guys says that he has something that can embarass those idiots.. and im like any of these vortech SC'd G's can spank them easy...

so he is like naw... so he called his g/f to bring his other car and this thing rolls along.. i got to admit she was a hot little blonde chic... he was bragging about how he did all the work to it... but it looked completely stock until he popped the hood...

i was disappointed that the only thing this tC had was a huge turbo slapped onto it... no suspension upgrades, brake upgrades, exhaust, etc... at first i was thinking maybe it was a sleeper but then i was just thinking, what is the point of doing all that if you don't do mods to help compliment this huge turbo... can someone explain that to me???

the only thing that i could think was that he thought he bought a fast car and tried to make it even faster??? i laughed when he told everyone that it was still a mid-high 14sec car... i don't remember how much boost he was pushing but i thought that was kinda funny... he should have just dumped that money into his Z...

turbo lagg is probably insane on that thing... by the time the boost kicks in, he is probably already at the end of the quarter...

Most VW bugs I see are chicks who actually USE that stupid dash flower pot thing to carry a flower.

Any man with a VW bug should be shot.

To be honest, I was kinda glad the cop wasn't there. It pisses me off when I see cops pulling ppl over left and right (even if they do deserve it). Yesterday in my community they pulled my doctor over for going 31 in a 25... they need to get a fuckin life. I'm not gonna get into another debate about the "job" of a FL "Sheriff." I think it's funny how they're called Sheriffs down here. They're cops. Yet another great example of unnecessary euphemisms in today's world.

Yeah, I think that's a design flaw (or is it a feature) that every Scion flips over, starts on fire and blows up. Toyota should probably fix that part. Or maybe it was a freak accident that could have happened to any car...

Reminds me of a Nissan salesperson I know that will never get into a TL again. He says he was riding in a TL with a professional driver on a track and the driver lost control for a moment. Now this Nissan guy thinks Acura's are dangerous and scary because of some fluke thing.

So I went to pick up my cousin from her HS today, and it reminded me of how STUPID it is to give HS students cars. Coming out of the HS, there is a long boulevard where EVERYONE speeds and drives like a maniac to show off theyre POS Hondas (equipped with fartcans), they're Scions, pick-up trucks, BMWs, etc. Then I proceeded to talk about how stupid that kind of driving is. She responded with "we went out to lunch today and on the way back my friend was doing 110 in a 45 and then approaching school drifted with all of us in the car." I felt like beating his ass when I heard that. I told her never to get in the car with him again.

I've never seen so many unexperienced/shitty drivers in one area in my life.

All states have Sheriffs. The Sheriffs jurisdiction goes by county, not city. Traditionally they patrol the more rural areas that are not incorporated into cities. If you go to downtown Orlando, you will see police.

Not necessarily. I see state patrol and city police (Sheriff cars) on city streets and freeways of Minneapolis all the time.

Interesting read on the tC development, dunno if it's been linked before:
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...16/ai_n6206348

I actually hate the tC a bit less after reading that. There's less of the general "competent handling" and "value for money" blathering and more about the personalities behind the design and production of the car.

I know that in Orlando they're "police" - I was just talking about how every car (outisde of downtown) that isn't a state trooper is a Sheriff. In NY, a regular cop is a "COP" or a "Police Officer," whereas a Sheriff is someone of a higher ranking, thus there are much much less of them riding around in their patrol cars.

On another note... a Scion revved their engine @ me at a stop light and it gave me a good laugh. Me friends and I rolled down the window BALLIN' laughin!
