I like it! Gonna trade my CL in for it as soon as it comes out... Just Kidding

It is nice though, I just might think about it to replace our 97 Neon (Bucket)!

I like it. If I didn't already have the CL, and didn't need the extra room, I would consider it. Especially the Type R.

I saw this pic, and I decided right then that I really like this car!

and these...

The Type-S should be pretty decent for the money.

I saw it at the NY Auto Show today.

Looks cheap.

Just like a Civic.

The rear end is decent... but thats about it.

I think it's pretty good. But what it needs is more torque, only 140 something pounds. The price is also a little high, $25k for a Type-S. It's competing with the Celica. Loaded GT-S's are only $23k so it needs to lower it's price.

Let's hope it has more sound insolation than the current Integra. Man, I've been in the current one and that thing is loud on the highways!

Mad that it gets a Type S badge. that just means brings no meaning to the S anymore. Now if I say I drive a type S they'll ask what ? tl cl or rsx.
also more thieves trying to take the S badge.

I have a couple of questions:
1.It says Type "R" not type S, or am i blind?

2.Why is there a Honda logo on the grill when its an Acura?

All in all i think it looks good. To me they are trying to copy the look of the Celica. Love those seats.

I think it's a nice change from the every day Integra (8 years in the same shape is WAY TOO LONG)....I wouldn't be surprised if it is a real good seller for Acura....It's almost like an upgraded civic coupe!

Yeah, I agree...the high-spoiler trend started with the Supra in 94' and has yet to end. I prefer the clean look (Spoilerless)

I Like it, but would like to see what it looks like with a "lipped trunk spoiler"?

I can't believe CL owners are complaining about the RSX being fat! You guys are driving pretty big cars yourselves, in both weight and appearance.

In terms of the spoilers, only the R gets the big spoiler, and it is aerodynamically functional, just like on the current ITR. It isn't rice, it's for speed.

In a Celica GTS comparison, to get similar features the GTS will come in at nearly $25k (sunroof, ABS, 6-disc changer, leather, etc.). All these things are standard on the RSX Type-S and there are other features not available on the Celica (micron air filter, etc.). I'd rather be able to pick and choose, but that's not how Honda does things.

And for those complaining about diluting the Type-S brand name, c'mon, there was a Prelude Type-S and NSX Type-S long before your CL-S existed, and both were arguably sportier than the CL, but less luxurious. The RSX-S combines class leading luxury with wwhat should be excellent performance, just like your cars. Judging by the early numbers, it should match a CL-S in acceleration. And it comes with a 6-spd manual which is very nice. Hopefully when the CL goes RWD in 2003 it will get a manual too.

CL is fat?? CL is not fat.. it s FLAT and LONG. that RSX type R just gives me the chunky look. short and tall... squeezed.
well i think i m still a newbie to cars then.. Prelude Type-S?? NSX TYPE-S? in japan or US?

The RSX pics above are not stock. The cars in the pictures have some form of body kit installed. The car does not look a lot different from the current integra except that it is a little bigger. The front is a little nicer and the rear is almost the same. Here is a picture of the rear from the New York Auto Show.

Yes, the Prelude and NSX-S are JDM models. Been around since the late 90's at least.

The CL-S may be long, but however you put it, it's huge, at least to me. All about personal perception I guess, but all I own are relatively small two seaters.
