I'm not a fan of large vehicles. It looks awesome, personally I think the cooled seats are a worthless feature. What's the use of cooled seats, maybe for fat-ass hogs who sweat profusely, but honestly the A/C unit should suffice, you're back I'm sure won't appreciate direct cool air, it'll cause some aches.
Yeah, the conventional AC unit is good for cooling the cabin. But the seat itself is still hot from sitting in the sun and is still cooking your back. It's an awesome feature. I love it and it's far from being worthless.

Damn you all have given this Ford allot of thought & credit...not saying anyones right or wrong but we can each defend what we think is right. Naturally owning 3 TLs, pops owning a G35 and no longer going American as we did in times past I'm going to defend the TL.

However, that does not diminish Ford's commendable effort as of late. They are producing nicely styled, well engineered vehicles the represent good value (in general).

First you say the Taurus ripped off the TSX's design, and when everyone else disagrees with you (obviously because your post was false), you go and say "let's see how much it's worth 5 years from now" when obviously more expensive cars tend to depreciate more unless it has collector's value. Try looking at how much used S-Classes cost after 5 years compared to when new. Then you go and compare the Taurus to the TL.... wtf? What next, are you going to compare the SHO to a Fit and comment how the Fit gets much better gas mileage?
Anyways, who cares about how the car looks or how behind it is technologically. It's all about the resale value and how much it's worth 3 years from now! That means the Volkswagen R32 is the best car ever, because it only appreciates in value!! Yeah!!!!
I'm a car enthusiast, not an investment banker. I don't care how much a car holds in value, really. I love my car, so I drive it, which means I put miles on it and it's worth less when it comes time to sell it.... and I don't care.

Smart money says that the TL SH-AWD will have better resale value over the Taurus SHO in five years. Historically speaking, I've not observed any Ford product with better value retention than its Honda counterpart.
However, that does not diminish Ford's commendable effort as of late. They are producing nicely styled, well engineered vehicles the represent good value (in general).

This is a friendly discussion but you understood me wrong on some things. I do give Ford credit for what they have done but I'd still pick a TL over it is all I'm saying.

That being said, I would likely take a used Taurus SHO than a used TL Type S...! If what we both think does come true, you're getting a very good high-performance sedan for less than the "competition"!
