What can one realistically get a new TL for?

My buddy wants a new car and i'm trying to get him in a TL and he wants to buy used, the car i've found for him has 17K and is advertised at 30, i figure he can probably get it for 27-28. What can you get a new one for?

Realistically, a non-Navi automatic will go for $30,500 or so. Invoice is $30,384. Add another 2000 for Navi.

Of course, you're in So Cal, so I dont know how your local market works, he might have to head north or east to find these prices.

If he's able to wait a while longer, the price of the 04-06 should come down once the 07's are out. Even though the change is not drastic, the dealers will likely want to get rid of them quickly. I'd say if he can still find a new 06 when the 07's come out he'll get a hell of deal. O my bad, i just read your post again he wants it new as in new new lol.

When I was in the market I was getting great price quotes from Oregon dealerships but didnt want to deal with the out of state thing. Very high 20's or low 30's would be my guess in California.

CLPower, which dealers has your friend talked to? From what I understand, realistically, you should be able to get a non-navi for around $30k before TTL.

For the record, I scored my '05 TL for 250 over invoice and got the "protection package" thrown in. Basically mudflaps, trunk tray and wheel locks. A bit of a gimmick but something to consider.

Work a couple of dealers, but $30k is pretty realistic. If you're lucky, you might be able to work out something even less.

Call Santa Monica Acura and get a quote from them. They gave me a low-ball quote that I used on several other dealers to get the best price possible on my first TSX and also on my parents' RL and MDX.
