I guess the extra $3 to make sure it gets there is too much for a bank to shoulder. Sad thing is had they just mentioned up front that they were going to send it to me via incompetent baboon, I would have gladly paid the couple bucks for a real service.
And the really unfortunate thing is once they drop it in the mailbox, they wipe their hands and declare it no longer their problem.

That's pretty sketchy Jason.. Sorry to hear about your troubles. You don't have to pay them if they don't officially own it though right?

I'm 99.9% sure that they lost it before it ever got to the mailbox. I'd chew their ass out for being incompetent fucks.

Nope they said it was sent in a plain unmarked envelope. The seller even said his wife might have accidentally thrown it away because of that.

The issue now is I believe I have to pay a $75 fee to have a new title issued. I am going to be super pissed and put this on the seller and his bank if that is the case.

Well FedEx and good couriers are trackable... so that's not too bad. Plain white envelope... yikes. The dealership sent me the title 5 days before the car was even delivered via FedEx. Luckily they did everything trackable.

Good luck J... I'm sure everything will work out. May be a slight headache for now, but it will go away when you get the title. Also every time you drive that Vagon

Somehow, when you think people can't possibly be any more incompetent... Surprise!

Have to travel for work this coming Monday and wanted to take the V but I refuse to take it on long trips while it isn't registered. Guess I will be taking the F or getting a rental car.

^ Not bad compared to 70's muscle cars I guess. This is the first time I'm actually glad I looked in this thread. My Charger seems like an econobox compared to the V's MPG numbers. So what if you have an 180hp advantage.

My ISF daily gets about 21mpg and 26-27mpg so yeah the V is a real hit in that department. Luckily gas prices are down right now and I also I do a lot less driving now than I used to do. If I was still doing 25-30k miles a year I am not sure I would have picked up a V. I don't think my upgraded supercharger pulley is helping my MPG in the Vagon either.

I've bought most of my vehicles out of state.
Never a problem.
YMMV

My last two cars (Porsche 911 cabrio and the CTS-V) were purchased site unseen from across the country (AZ and CA respectively). I also purchased an Aprilia and Ducati several years ago site unseen. No issues with any of them.
I will say that I've never purchased a car/vehicle with a lien on it. All have had title in hand...

Well it gets worse. They only faxed over the lien release to his branch yesterday afternoon. He is going out of town this morning so said he won't have time to get to it till Monday. At the going rate it is going to be a month of ownership before I have a title or it registered. Which if I am correct and it is not registered 30 days from sale I have to get it inspected again before registration.

Well hopefully things are turning around. I should be receiving all the paper work I need today in the mail and then I can go and get a title and get it registered tomorrow.
Also I am working on getting my wheel and tire for my spare figured out. I need it to be delivered by next Wednesday so going to call discount tire and see if they can get that taken care of. I priced it on discounttiredirect and it comes out to just under $220 shipped to my door.

Well hopefully it will get here by next Wednesday but I ordered my spare tire combo.
Drag DR-37 18x8.5 +40 in Flat Black. Nankang AS-1 225/40/18 tire in XL load rating which we need.
Total shipped to my door is $219.97.
JB here are the links you need if you want the same setup. You can get the wheel in several different colors if you want something closer to match your stock wheels and the cost is the same. I went with the flat black since I have the black wheels on the car.

^ Seems pretty standard on the Vorum. Lots of folks using that setup. One of the most cost effective ones that I've seen!
You rock... thanks for the links!

Now I just need to find an extra spare tire cover so I can hack it up to make it fit. I would prefer not to hack up the original one.

Not sure if the cts spare cover is the same as the wagon one or if I have to find a wagon one for sure. There is a brand new one on eBay right now but they want $100 for it.
