Comparing the TSX loaner I had last weekend to the TL loaner I had back in December, they both drove very well. The TSX was more tossable than the TL, but I normally don't drive such a large (any midsize car for me is large) car and the TL was very nice too. Definitely more powerful. I like both.

Scrib, I know your not into modding but the AT TSX does need some help. At minimum, you should consider Hondata and a CAI or comptech icebox. Add a comptech rear sway and your done all for less than 1K.
I swore I wasn't going to mod either but I those 3 mods make the car so much better its hard to resist.
I havn't gotten Hondata yet but will be at some point.

Congrats DJ Scribble!!! I like the CG TSX's (along with the Milano Red's)
Did you get OEM kit ?
I seriously thought about the TSX for next car, or if the GSR flies off of a cliff sometime while I'm not driving it.

I love my wife more than anything… And as much as I tried and tried to express, what we here all consider easy manual driving concepts, it just wasn’t working. Even if we got to a point where she demonstrated some competency in driving the car, there is no way in hell I would ever feel comfortable with her being alone in the car. Maybe I should have thought about this back in 2003 when I bought it. But I was pissed at Acura regarding the CLS. So I had to get out.
Yes, she has her own car, but why should she be limited to driving just that? Not to mention it’s a Murano, which isn’t the smallest thing in the world. She should have access to a car as well.
She financially contributes to the bottom line, so… She has a right to driving all cars
</Serious note>
With that…
1) See serious note above
2) The resale on the Infiniti is absolutely insane right now. I was presented an option to get into a new vehicle for nothing out of my pocket (they get my car title, I get theirs). And I’d now be covered under factory warranty through June 2009.
3) The Infiniti is not much of a baby-buggy. Nothing is in brewing right now, but I hope it will be soon. So by getting out now, we’re “preparing” for the future and capitalizing on a really good offer (see point #2).
Soooooooooooo…. As of Friday I will be riding around in………..
A 2005 Acura TSX w/ NAVI (5AT)
Carbon Gray/Black
Yes, it’s a completely wild departure from the G, but ya know what??? I’m very excited.
I’ll probably miss the torque and handling at first, but I’m sure I’ll live. Maybe I’m entering a new stage of my life? But I can say that I am 110% committed to this decision and I hope everyone realizes this wasn’t something that I just came up with one day and did on a whim.
So I’ll post up some pics when I get it Friday. Flame away if you wish. I’m ready for it!!!

I understand your point about self-sufficiency, but it sounded a bit over the top. Congrats on the new car, but I'd like a bit more background as to whether you were twice as concerned as her, or was it really a non-issue, "sure hubby, go ahead and get your new car if you wan to", thing for your wife?
She was concerned, maybe not on the level that I was, but considering I understand the ins and outs of driving stick, my knowledge increases the "worry factor" IMHO... Watching her try and learn and then see that she just didn't quite get it only made me even more worried if she ever were to take it out. It wasn't the car, nor the clutch, the doors, etc... One wreck and I probably would have sold it for $1.
Her desire to learn was also accompanied by a concern of getting in a wreck, not getting through a light fast enough, someone hitting her from behind because she stalled. She wanted to learn... Be she also wanted to be safe.

Sorry... I'll do a write up later... Considering I only have 37 miles on the car, it might not be all that great. I ended up putting on a couple of coats of Blackfire on and then installed the V1; hardwired. WHAT A PAIN IN THE FUCKING ASS! The side curtain airbag is in the A-pillar, so I couldn't pull it away... So I had to massage the wire and wedge it in there... Then I couldn't find a good ground, so I have to tear half the trim apart below by the fuse box to find something. Way harder than the CLS/G installs.
Anyway, here she is.
It knows where I live...
So far, so good.

The tsx is a cool car. I drove a 05 accord and was surprised how powerful the 4cyl. engine was, very fun to drive (although it was a 5speed). And the tsx engine is even more powerful, its built in japan, and great resale value. Good choice.
