May not have the same result elsewhere
Check my thread for output comparison.

maybe that specific application yields a decent result but generally, plug and play is never going to beat a true retrofit.

They are factory HID's right? If so, and the bulbs have never been changed, all you'd need are some new bulbs and you should be ready to rock. The D2S bulbs do wear out over time and get dim, with a car this old and stock bulbs, I bet they have half or less the output of new bulbs.

Agreed for sure. It works great on my truck, may be complete on the EthFo.

UPDATE:

As some of you may know, I was not satisfied with my ST-X coilovers I purchased awhile back. Even after raising them another .5", the ride quality was poor .. .at best.

After talking with a local B5 owner, they were willing to straight trade their brand new Bilstein shocks for my ST-X coilovers. Took 0 convincing from me and it was a done deal - I picked up some Eibach Pro Kit springs on the classifieds for cheap and got to work yesterday.

I am beyond happy with the setup, the car is a bit lower and rides MUCH better. It feels slightly stiffer than stock which is exactly what I'm looking for.

The moment I attached the front strut assembly, the wheel had at least 3-4 more inches of travel .. I knew it was going to be a good setup straight away.

Also, picked up a replica RS4 grill for cheap:

More to come, slowly but surely

Looking good. Suspension is always such a key piece. Worth the extra effort to be 100% happy with it.

Sounds like a great deal for you! Do you have issues with your driveway again now that you're lower?

Agreed 100% - Reviews were mixed with ST-X coilovers and I took a gamble .. which I lost. Damn impulse buys

It scrapes a bit more unless I add more speed and more angle .. makes me think of this every morning

I embedded them with direct image links w/ IMG tags, which is different from my previous posts. I also touched them up a bit after posting.

Can you see these?

Took a road trip this weekend to Mammoth for my bachelor party - the total mileage round trip was around 820 miles.

Happy to report that the S4 had 0 issue(s) and it really is an excellent & comfortable highway car. I had 2 other passengers, full of groceries & luggage with a 8000ft elevation gain - car averaged 22mpg on the way up, 24mpg on the way back.

It's really interesting to see how altitude plays a role on how the car boosts ... turbos were working overtime and the car felt like it had lost at least 100hp

Just realized this is post # 5000

Thanks J!

Playing around with my GoPro a few weeks ago, captured some footage of the exhaust.

I think it sounds great - nice low tone with a surge of turbo noise.
