Years ago I had a customer who came in with a brake grind(it needed brakes), but she couldn't figure out why it continued to grind, she sprayed WD-40 on every bit of the brakes she could and didn't understand why it was still squeeling/grinding. Scary stuff what an idiot is capable of.
